how many moms can you fit in that area? How many clones is she providing per take? i'm planning a SoG and thinking around 50-75 under two 600's. Trying to get an idea of how many lights i need to cover how many mothers. Only doing two strains.

I am still thinking of flowering my mothers next round.

I did terrible job of Bonsai'ing them :0)

Here is the Chem 4 OG mother:

Here is the mothers area:

(this is four full length T-8s attached to a board that I can raise and lower)

Before I flipped, I took clones from the one Hawaiian Snow plant:

That is all for now....this seems like it is going to take forever, at this point! :0)

Take care,

Hello,

You need to check my Crop #2 thread.

It was a very successful SOG. 36 2 gallon smart pots in a 6X6 array, in a 5'X5' tent.

As to these larger plants, I am sure that a 3X3 array of nine 5 gallon buckets as again
the limit (trust me, a 6X6 was as well ;0).

In fact, I will likely end up doing more Veg and doing four in my tent, at some point.

Right now, I want to try everything. :0)

Take care,

JD

Hey JD.

I was wondering what brand of tent you have and if you would recommend it? Doing my planning research for a tent. I am gonna go look thru your pics of crop 2 see how you ran your tent, just in case I cant find it, what size fan/light do you run and what are your inside tent and ambient temps?

thanks man,

Now that you have done a few crops in your 5x5, do you think you get better yield and quality running the 2 gallon SOG or with larger plants?

Well, Crop #2 was my best so far, and it was a SOG.

...but we will have to see how this Crop does.

In any case, I am pretty sure that I could have gotten these to
fill in better if I had been better able to give them individual
attention.

In taking the first few buckets out (Oh, did I mention...I am harvesting ;0)
I found that the bigger/stronger plants were very light where the
weaker were heavy with unused water/food.

I will weigh this take, but did not #2, so it will be hard to be certain.

I am seeing that the yield of the Blue Cheese and Deadhead is large
and the Chem 4 and Somango are *delicious* looking.

I will be back shortly.

Cant wait for harvest pics! I am thinking either SOG with 1 gallons or maybe even 1/2 gallons. I know I can fit a whole hell of a lot of plants in the tent. Thinking maybe 10 clones into flower every 2 weeks till tent is filled. Any opinion on whether I should use 1 or .5 gallons pots? I been thinking it over a lot and as many strains as I want to run SOG makes the most sense. I am supposed to hopefully get a batch of tester seeds soon so my strain count is gonna get even higher lol.

This is an interesting question, with many solutions.

One thing that I realized with 36 2-gal smart pots in my tent was that
I had to take a slew of plants out of the tent in order to get at the ones
in the back. I made a watering tool to help avoid having to do this every
time.

The breed will impact a very tight SOG as well. ...and if you are thinking
1/2 gal then yours will be tight.

...but people have rocked SOGs in party cups, so you can do it.

Good luck,

JD

So your saying JD the ones tht you could not really
get to and water like the others, turned out better?

Basically, I am confirming the obvious...that a vigorous plant will
out-eat a weaker plant.

Recall that I became concerned that I was underfeeding some of my
plants....this confirms the possibility.

I am really looking forward to getting the next Crop into the tent,
as I will be Vegging for a while.

...but I will be giving the tent a 10% bleach bombing first.

Thanks for the rep-try!

JD

P.S. The harvest is coming along nicely. The Purpleberry yielded
very little, as expected, with the AK only doing a little better.

The Qrazy Train was very pretty and promises to be good smoke.

The Blue Cheese yielded the most maybe, and the buds are good.

The real good news of the Chem 4, the Somango, and one of the
two Deadhead phenos. They are all happening last. I will make a
harvest post soon.

Because these were chopped-and-chopped-again mother-bushes,
there was a huge amount of larf. As chaka said elsewhere recently,
my standards for trimming drop, and many small buds are getting
into the now stuffed brownie-bag:

I was doing the math and if i fill my tent up with those .5 will send me over the 99 plant count. I don't know about you, but I hate going into the federal minimum sentencing zone. So looks like 1 gallons it is lol.

when we getting some sexy harvest shots JD!

LOL This space is a workshop, mycological testbed, and garden.

It is pretty clean, for what it has been through. :0)

LOL, not yet. I live with mushroom cultures all over the place,
and the garden. It is hard to keep grows sterile, but I have a
laminar flow hood for that.
