newt is one of "the pundits", actually. always has been.

i can't believe you are being his stupid. did you not watch politics in action last year?
Not last year, covering himself. Did you not bother to watch politics in action last year?

he even bragged about how much turnout he drove up in counties that voted for him right after. he bragged about how his plan worked.
He bragged about his supposedly racist comments driving up turn out? Where is that at?

"If you go look at Florida, every county I carried in Florida had an increased turnout. Every county Romney carried in Florida had a decreased turnout." - newt gingrich

the claim is weak, but true enough for a politician to make.

In Gingrich counties, turnout was down an average of 5.8%

In Romney counties, turnout was down an average of 9.6%.

According to your average, turnout was down everywhere, for everyone. The claim Gingrich made isn't weak, it's totally false.

But these numbers aren't surprising, kiddo. The Republicans did not like Romney and very few people really wanted to vote for him, but apparently this is news to you.

The first article you posted actually discredits your claim: "Another twist: average turnout in Romney counties (43.5%) in '12 was higher than the average of the Gingrich counties (40.6%) in '12. Even comparing to the 2010 governor's race (which had a smaller pool of voters), Gingrich and Romney counties still underperformed about as equally on a percentage-turnout basis."

Evidently Gingrich did not succeed in getting those racist voters out to vote for him, since Romney's counties had better turnout numbers, right?

unless you actually look at the numbers, kiddo.

in terms of raw numbers (comparing total votes cast in 2008 to 2012), 21 Gingrich counties cast more ballots... than [they] did four years ago.

How does that change anything? He said every county he carried had increased turnout, which isn't "weak," it's false.

the point is that he bragged about increased turnout after a series of racist dog whistles, which was mostly true.

he knew what he was doing when he bet on racism, and the numbers bear out that his strategy was a good one (at least in the most racist parts of the south, the same parts which give rise to the tea party).

it's not my fault that your understanding of 'inside baseball' is on par with a naive adolescent from the south, that's your fault for being an overly defensive, naive adolescent from the south.

Republicans generally vote for the white way of thinking, the destructive know-nothing way. Hoping that they can get the 50's back. Bitch be home cookin and cleaning, and the nigger be shining me shoes. They would love that era back.
Really?

[h=2]big·ot[/h]a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc.: a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group)

Notice it says "such as" meaning one example is racial or religious groups. It could also be attributed to people who hate or refuse to accept other groups SUCH AS political groups.

Btw I watched the video of the guy at the Tea Party thing with Rand paul. The one where the guy held the womans head down with his foot.

I don't see how one person's behavior or even 10% of a groups behavior can be attributed to the entire group.

Every person is responsible for their own actions and no one elses.

we can look at southern racism adjusted for inflation.

or we can look back at a remark you made along the lines of "all you have to do is be half black and 90% of the minorities will vote for you".

i never really got an answer as to why you made that statement. i asked whether that statement was a symptom of your racism or your stupidity, since minorities vote 90% democrat regardless of the skin color of the candidate.

your reply, when you finally gave one, was that i don't know the difference between prejudice, bigotry, and racism.

so were you trying to tell me you were a prejudiced bigot?

thanks in advance for finally addressing the racially charged nonsense statements you have made.

What about the primary? If Obama hadn't racked up that number, he never would have beaten Hillary Clinton and she would probably be president right now.

obama won the whitest states as well as the blackest ones.

montana: obama 56-41

vermont: obama 59-39

idaho: null

maine: obama, 15-9

north dakota: obama, 8-5

south dakota: hillary 55-45

new hampshire: obama, 13-9

wyoming: obama, 61-38

oregon: obama, 59-41

why did 9 of the 10 whitest states go for obama if democrats vote based on race?

I never made that claim. I said Obama wouldn't have won the primary if he weren't half black. Obama and Clinton were separated by ~300,000 popular votes and ~300 delegates. Had they split the black electorate 50-50, instead of Obama taking almost every black vote, Obama could not possibly have won. Who won the whitest states is totally irrelevant.

The VP of CGI (the company that won the no bid contract for the ACA website) was a friend and alumni of Michelle Obama's. While we are at it, Halliburton sucks too, to get that out of the way.

Most transparent administration ever.

  • If you think the folks at The Daily Caller really had a story here, why not provide a link to the original piece? Toni Townes-Whitley and Michelle Obama graduated from Princeton over 20 years ago. Ted Cruz did too. Should we blame him for the ACA web debacle? Why isn't the truth awful enough?

Good catch on the daily caller, I actually read it on a UK publication, but they site the daily caller as the source.

So you are saying there is another reason CGI received a no-bid contract for over 600M? I'm open to the possibility if you can anything discrediting the claim.

Same tired tactics, Republicans make enough noise to distract everyone from the subject at hand. Sad.
