So little info on cycle timers, what are good reliable second/minute timers for drippers

oops, that timer has 5 sec. to 30 minutes on and 5 sec. to 60 minutes off. you wanted a longer off time. But i do believe that there is a cycle timer for longer periods of time. the one i listed is considered a short cycle timer.

    root control disc

I'm running a ebb and flow bucket system, and been having problems with the roots plugging the fill/drain fitting and sometimes a foot or so inside the 3/4 " hose. This cycle I'm trying the root control disc, which has a non soluble copper type paint on one side that kills the roots. The ones...

10% bleach solution. So you would use 5 gallons of bleach for a 55 gal res? Just sounds like a lot of bleach to me.

    Deal or Die?

Good question, i run into the same thing with my ebb & flow buckets. It seems like i always have one or two runts out of the 8 that i start with. A friend of mine that has been doing several different types of hydro for some time now said that he starts a few extra. So my plan is to run 12...

    GH MaxiBloom, Cal and Mag

sorry no pics, i just switched from soil to hydro. And this is the only nutrient line I've used in hydro. But i didn't think i was doing all that bad in soil. But my ebb&flow buckets are blowing away any soil I've done.

    Jockey Box Cooler

Has anyone tried a jockey box cooler to cool their res. If so was it over kill on cooling? If it is too much i wonder if i knocked a 10'' hole in my basement floor, busted out the post hole digger, and put the stainless cooling coil (120 ft. long) down about 3ft. Fill the hole back in with the...

    net pot size question

ok thanks, that 's what I was hoping to hear, those 8" square net pots hold a lot. If I can use half the hydroton I'm gunna do it. And I was planning on scroging so that will help support the plant also. thanks

    net pot size question

I picked up a flo-n-gro system, and it has 8" square net pots by 10" tall. That's huge in the net pot world. Is there any benefit to these large pots? And do you think I could use smaller ones without any sacrifice? I'm using hydroton with 8 sites and the 55 gal. res. that came with the system...
