It looks like you have an Indica dominant strain, which is going to stay much shorter and stubbier. I say use the topping technique to get a few more bud sites. I might even try Supercropping as apposed to LSTing, to let the light in and really get the inside leaves and branches full of bud...

I say it looks like you temps might be too high. the orange color change of the hairs doesn't look natural. I haven't seen them curl that dramatically. They almost look like they are beginning to dry out.
