Thanks that's pretty helpful. I wasn't sure if the environment/it's nutes had much of an impact is all. I thought maybe the only way to affect genetics was to selectively choose the plants with the better genetics and continue to create further generations with those preferred attributes...

My hunch is it needed more indoor light. I think for vegging you normally should aim for at least 14hrs of light before flipping, I don't feel comfortable vegging for anything less than 16hrs a day, 17.5+ hours being the ideal i.m.o.

The photo actually doesn't show it off too well but it looks more like 2nd shoot to me now (which I just found out is possible). The cow stuff wasn't the first choice but just making use of what I had left, it's fine for seedlings with the added peat moss.

Is it possible that it is a second growth? The mix was partly made of a cow manure compost so it could also be a weed from that. I want to leave it as it is if it's a second offshoot, but is that even possible?
