What I've learned so far as a Noob

I'm on Day 45 of my grow and just a few thoughts I had... wanted to share... 1. Context is everything when researching... tons of info here and on the interwebs... but it is old, most of it is pseudo-science, and even more of it is overkill... which leads me to 2. Don't love your plants too...

    Carbon filters (Design)

When you folks say "good carbon" what makes it good? Shape? Where have you found "good" carbon?

Always same problem in 4-5 week!!

Most Muni wter is treated with chloromine which doesn't evaporate. Has been for over a decade. You can google it or youtube as plenty of articles and gardener channels have debunked it.

    Carbon filters (Design)

I second that... Amazon.com has fan+filter combos shipped for about $180 for a 6 inch diameter, 10-12inch long... You can build them for slightly under that price, but if you are a week out of getting ready to flower... just buy it, it's not worth saving the $20.

    Nute burn plus something else?

Yup, first grow. Point taken. Much appreciated.

    Nute burn plus something else?

This plant was my stronger one of the 2 I'm growing (Double Glock), but the last 3 days or so, it's been showing some signs of problems. From day one, all new growth has had slightly yellow tips, and as the growth matured, the tips would darken. They would never fully darken, but enough that it...

Fans leaves starting to fall off, getting concerned, any thoughts??

It looks like overwatering to me. Does the pot drain well? Maybe you are getting too much water built up in the base of the pot? Definitely like fabric pots for this... worst case, you can sit the damn pot right on top of a fan to blow air into the bottom and dry out the base of the pot :P

    Something to be worried about?

My water is about 50PPM. It runs through a double carbon filtration system before entering the house piping.

    Something to be worried about?

Forgot to mention, she's being fed a 3-1-2 organic. It's been 1 day since watering with PH6.5(no nutes) and 4 days before that she got 1/4 recommended feeding @6.5PH (was about 200PPM).

    Something to be worried about?

This is about 5 days after my first mainlining cut and the 2 fan leaves left on from the original cut are forming some spotting. The new stuff looks good to me so far, should I be concerned? under a pair of CMX22 Gen 3 (but the pic was under my shop room florescent lights). generic (no time...

    Is this a red wiggler?

Interesting... I think of those 4, I got 3 of them that are blue worms and one red wiggler... The guy doesn't say the name in the video, but he puts it in the comments. 3 of those guys have that distinct tail. Then the last one, looks like a red wiggler based on some other videos.

    Is this a red wiggler?

Any chance I can get it actually identified of which kind? Here is another shot. I washed a few off so it's easier to see. I found them in a compost pile, so I would imagine they are compost worms, but I would love to know exactly what kind.

    Is this a red wiggler?

So I went to a local farm that has a stable with a handful of horses, goats, etc... They have a manure compost pile and let the crazy fucker (me) come and dig through horse shit for an hour! Anyway, I've found a shit ton of worms and I'm thinking these are red wigglers... Can anyone confirm...

    Purple stem genetics?

Just reporting back... looks like the Special Kush bounced back like a mofo... She's up to working on her 6th node... and she's also giving off a killer scent!!! I love it! The Double Glock isn't looking as good, but still pretty decent. I've been feeding the Special Kush a bit...

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

You don't need multiple fans, just 1 strong enough to move the air. You can filter without fans. I do it to mine. My light baffle is a passive intake, and I have a filter on the outside intake... and one on the inside (overkill I'm sure). So long as the external fan has enough pull, you don't...

Dealing with low humidity in exhausted tents

Did I read your original post properly? You are pushing air but creating a negative pressure? Anyway, if you are taking air into your room, clearly there has to be negative pressure to do so. Put a duct on that, duct it into a reservoir and make the air pass by a wick(or multiple). As it...

Always same problem in 4-5 week!!

My call is your vinegar isn't stable, so your water going in at 6.0... doesn't last long enough for the plant to take any nutes. The run off coming out at 7, when 6 is going in... tells me that vinegar is worse than I thought OR the soil PH is also very high... and if that's the case, you'll be...
