    Sf vs hlg

There is no list. I am not aware of any industry-recognized certification for US-made LED grow lights.

    Sf vs hlg

What list, and what makes you presume that it's comprehensive and authoritative?

    Sf vs hlg

Oh, so they don't have UV after all. Just as well, I suppose, as I would expect that - in keeping with other, similar cheap boards - the supplemental diodes they add probably aren't of the highest quality. (But someone can correct me there if I'm wrong about that.)

    Sf vs hlg

    Incorrect.

    Sf vs hlg

Binning is often put forward as a reason to go HLG. Many here will claim that there's no difference - or that any difference is too small to matter - but for those who want to be 100% certain they're getting top bin, you can't beat HLG. As for SF's added UV - we'll have to wait and see how long...

    Small Light for Cloning.

Correction: looks like the 1-footers are 20v, not 10v. No biggie, same driver works perfectly with all strips in parallel.

    Small Light for Cloning.

So have you cloned under 5000k? The only reason I'm staying away from a higher kelvin is because peeps who've been there before me have recommended lower temps for the extra red. On the other hand, I've always had good success under my 6500k CFL - but I know I can't directly compare that to the...

    Small Light for Cloning.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking right now. I might change my mind to a different configuration by the time I actually get around to it though! Whatever prices out most cheaply by the time I convince the wife to let me build another light, most likely!

    Small Light for Cloning.

Those are Gen 3, which are better (more efficient), so if you want to spend the few dollars extra, by all means, go with the 3s. I'm looking at Gen 2, to save a (very) few bucks. I'm just not too bothered with the efficiency bump for this application. Here are the Gen 2s, by the way...

    Small Light for Cloning.

Timely topic. I've been propagating under 6500k CFL for years, because I needed the extra heat when growing in the basement, but I've been slowly relocating everything upstairs, and just ordered a new tent for seedlings/cuttings. Figure it's about time I switched up the last part of the garden...

    Buddies, side-light and under-canopy LEDs

No worries, I expected it to take a while. Appreciate the update!

    Seedling/Clone Light

Beautiful work! I'd love to see a pic once you've got it set up in the cab.

    HELP....I Have New Light Fever

Agreed, 100%. Having two (or more) fixtures in isolated spaces so veg and bloom can be done concurrently is a great idea. (As long as those fixtures can also pull double-duty as flowering lights.)

    HELP....I Have New Light Fever

Unnecessary and a waste of money, in my opinion. That whole separate light for veg and flower idea is rightly being left behind, along with the HID bulbs that featured in them.

    Buddies, side-light and under-canopy LEDs

I have two strings of PC Red Buddies and a Meanwell HDR-30-24 on order. No idea when they'll arrive - with all the Corona Chaos in the world right now, patience is key - but I'll try to remember to post up some pics in this thread once I get everything set up. Props to Teknik and GLA for...

    DIY Chilled Logic Puck (individual)

That hook is attached to a Meanwell HBG driver, not to the heatsink.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Yeah, I'm very surprised by the dimensions. I did NOT expect them to be that small. By the numbers, this should max around 280 watts, but it would be kind of silly to run them anywhere near that - so much juice in a small area. But running it at the typical QB288 wattage makes this an efficiency...

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Yep, just saw that on IG and came straight here - but you beat me to it! I think Rocket was right on. The boards look about as wide as a 288, but a little longer. But holy fucking shit, 2,664 diodes. Damn.

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Yeah, now that I've seen a better picture of the board (it looks smaller than I originally thought), I'm amending my previous prediction. My new speculation is two boards per 260, two to three per 320, and four per 650. I look forward to the big reveal.

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Damn, $129/board is quite a deal. But then I presume they'll be releasing a new heatsink as well, and that will add to the cost (peeps can use alu plate instead, I'm sure).
