I'm using a similar setup to miss except I didn't need to use the carbon filter and 171cfm fan. I have my 435cfm fan sitting on the left side of my tent on the floor, and have ducting connected to the reflector via the 2 reflector cooling ports on my tent. All I'm doing is pulling air from...
Keep your passive intake flaps open and have a stronger fan blowing up at your light to push the heat upwards to the carbon filter. Either that or invest in a portable a/c or add an intake fan. Depends on your ambient temperature around the tent.
So I received my light the other day and plugged it in and after 1min of being on it turned off. Sending it back to HTG for a replacement. You starting a new journal sometime?
FFOF has enough nitrogen to get you by for at least 4 weeks from sprout. You're going to want to feed it 1/4 strength grow big and then consider feeding it big bloom and tiger bloom as well. Everything at 1/4 strength to start.
Some say cut and hang the plant whole to let it dry, but that takes time. Some cut off the fan leaves at harvest and then hang to dry and manicure later. Personally, I just trim and manicure at harvest, then hang to dry, and into jars.
Give them 18 hours of light or more. Anything less is acceptable, but will reduce your overall yield. I've grown autoflowers twice now and find that 20/4 works pretty darn well.
You are better off going with a HPS. LED's still have a few more years to go before they become as efficient as HPS. If you don't have money for a HPS, use CFL's.
Your plants shouldn't be dying off in cups of that size when they're that small. I planted some bagseeds in 16oz beer cups and let them grow till they were about 8-9 inches before I took the time to transplant them. I should have transplanted them earlier, but decided to just see what happened...
I ran my 400w light with my 6" fan on a timer and had no problems. And this was only to cool the reflector. I had passive intake flaps open for fresh air and most of the time would just leave my tent open. I had a 4" fan/carbon filter for exhaust, but never used either. Fans for circulation...
Yes, you can use all 3 together. I use their entire line of nutrients + solubles. Refer to this feeding chart. I base what I feed off of this chart. I always start at 1/4 strength. http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/soilfeed.pdf
I'm glad I could help. It's definitely a very simple way to move your light up and down. Your grow stuff looks awesome. Let me know how loud that Vortex fan is because I went with the 4" and 6" valueline fans which are much cheaper and they aren't as quiet as I would like them to be. Off to Home...
I use a DR100L tent with a 400w MH/HPS with an air-coolable reflector cooled using a 6" 435cfm fan which runs only when the lights are on. I had a 4" 171cfm fan with a 4" carbon filter, but did not need to use it so I just left the roof exhaust port open. And I had all my fans for circulation...
I had some free time, so I took some pictures for you. I have found this is the easiest way to move my light up and down. With the "clips" I was referring too, you just have to slide them on at either end of the roof support poles as they will not clamp around the actual pole because the ones I...
I have a DR100L and I went to Home Depot and bought some chains with 4 S hooks and the clips that you would find at the gym to attach different bars and handles too. I don't know exactly what they are called, but I'll be running to the depot later so I'll post back.
Wait till they start to turn cloudy with a few amber before you harvest. The more amber, the more couch-lock effect with an indica. I don't mind harvesting when majority are cloudy, but it's personal preference.
