I agree - "best" is relative to the needs of an individual grow. COBs, boards, and strips can all be configured to achieve diffusion and uniformity. One may get you there for less money than another, and the cost of a fixture is certainly a factor in it's value.

You may have me confused with someone else. I'm not looking for any better metrics, and I'm not really concerned with whether you're right or wrong - just pointing out a couple of factors that you may want to consider. I really don't need an assessment of my garden's efficiency.

I don't grow SOG. And plenty of dudes make their own seeds. Plenty more have no reservations about spending the money for enormous private seedbanks. That isn't me, and it seems unnecessarily expensive, but that doesn't mean it isn't a real world situation.

Hopefully this won't start another fight, but that whole thing about COBs providing better penetration is myth. That doesn't mean you didn't buy yourself a damn good fixture though. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

I'm wondering why you would use wet yield as a metric. If one grower waters straight through to harvest, and another lets the plants get really thirsty by withholding water for a few days before chopping (as many do), the comparison will be flawed.

Sounds like your drivers are pushing around 2.3 amps to the boards. I have heard that the B drivers don't test out as high above rated current as the A versions do.

I'm running A version drivers myself. Let us know what reading you get straight from the driver!
