    Leaf ok?

Hi Teag, Sorta stoned but like a challenge. It is a little yellowish...to me. And the lighter color in veins...very uncommon. Only thing that is even close is a sulfur deficiency. Esp if new growth is worse. You could give them some light Epsom salt doses. Lots of sulfur and the Mg can...

DAT, I would call that mild/early. I'd be inclined to let it ride. If you are sure that there is not enough P in your nutes...then add some more. But if there's enough in the nutes...but plant can't access it. Adding more won't change anything. IMHO JD

I like that you use harmony and beauty as selection criteria. I also include aesthetics in selection and training. Form follows function... the plant knows way more then I do. JD

Thanks Al, I'm in even worse shape regarding space...tiny home dweller. I'm looking for a special pheno that's almost twice the potency of her sisters. Discovered it first grow after harvest and am now on a search. Popped about 25 seeds...so I'm going to select male or males and pollinate a...

Good Morning DAT, I'd try a few other things before adding more P. My opinion is excess P makes the worst tasting weed. Ruined an outdoor plant once with late P feeding. Using any microbes? Even in hydro...they live long enough to do some good. Also bump up your res to low 6 ph. 6.2 or...

    making a jacks 321 concentrate

Hi Bat, I did it with Epsom salts...but didn't weight the ES. I add my nutes by how much they bump up ppm. But came pretty close to the level pf concentration you want. JD

    making a jacks 321 concentrate

chemicals dissolved in water will reach a "saturation" point where no more will dissolve. Just try mixing it stronger...if no sediment on bottom, you should be good. JD

    CHM Recommendations - Veg

I have always liked mixing spectra. I'm flowering with two 315 cmhs and a 600w led. You don't need to spend $800 on a veg light...that's crazy. I had an unused 400w mh/hps ballast...so bought a 250w mh...dimmed down the ballast...and plants love it. I suppose I have a little over $125 into it. JD

    DRYER OUTLET CONVERTER/ CONTROLLER

sockets and plugs in the us have nema designation. Canada probably uses it too. The one in the picture is NEMA 14-30R style...so you will want a NEMA 14-30p (plug). JD

Doco...to get proper bulb firing and efficiency, the cmh bulb needs to be used with the correct low frequency square-wave ballast they were designed to work with. Dig a little to make sure. I've heard there are some shoddy companies that don't use the correct type of ballast. JD PS...

I gotta lose those waterfalls. HELP!

Hi Myke, I've set up and used several RO units over the years. Only fairly pricey units preserve much of the waste water...using special pumps. But a cheapo unit will have runoff. If you have any use for the waste runoff...that's good. Peeps will use it in vege gardens sometimes. But for 1...

When to start using nutrients with rockwool

Well since Shrubber set me straight on the solution...use that for now. Nutrients can be almost a personal choice...but newbies should try and keep things simple. That way easier to sort out if you have any issues. I use the GH maxi series. It's a simple 1 part powdered hydro nutrient...

When to start using nutrients with rockwool

No...for two reasons. First...it's best the get it in high concentration directly on stem. Second is that the chemicals in it are harsh. Best to keep it contained. JD

When to start using nutrients with rockwool

Hi Vitov, I start plants in rockwool and then into coco. Coco, like rockwool, has zero nutrients. You need to feed early. I start feeding seedlings at roughly 250ppm. You could add a very slight amount of nutrients into the soak water. Maybe 1/8 strength. Then just ease ppm up as they grow. JD

Will my stunted plant recover (pics)

Well that's your choice. But washing off the coco will be traumatic. If you are new to coco...it might be good to let it finish as a learning experience. Just keep nutes at reasonable strength, ph around 6 and don't dry down. JD
