You should lower that aquarium light back down on top of it about 6" away and supplement the cfls on the side when it gets bigger.
No offense, but your attempt to give it more light took away more than it gave.
That aquarium light is plenty of light until it gets to the second or third node...
It's an 8 bulb T5. It's plenty of light. It's too hard to tell if the light schedule is making a diff yet. The 3rd node will be what makes or breaks the cycle's effectiveness. If they don't start to rocket after that, 18/6 will be the better option. That is, as long as I do my part.
Haha. It's only been a day but here you go. The one on the top looks identical to the other so I figured one pic would do.
I didn't get all scientific and check the width of the leaves but they've gotten wider. They seem to be on par with any other schedule so far, especially considering...
Tournois studied light patterns and it's affects on roots and foliage in bloom and vegetative. Along with that, he performed many studies on light transference and plants maximum light intake.
Perhaps you shouldn't make assumptions.
Honestly, I don't know. I've never tried it. I always flower my clones out.
Maybe someone else can weigh in. It's really not hard to get them to root though. You could still flower them with the rest. Just seems like a waste. Is it a grow space issue?
Solid genetics are solid genetics. If you pollinate with male pollen, you'll get regular seeds. If you pollinate with female pollen, you'll get fem seeds. As long as your genetics aren't hermied now, you'll be alright.
Your post was a little hard for me to follow, but I hope that helps.
5-6 zips, assuming a solid grow with very little issues, about a month to a month and a half for most. I'm not familiar with that strain, but a lot is going to depend in the grow itself.
Topping is pretty self explanatory. Just make sure you don't take the growth tips at the node you're...
Never ordered from attitude. Just got an order from herbies. Super stealth.
I've heard nirvana has been getting a lot of hermies but I've never tried them. Humboldt is pretty solid. I liked their genetics a lot. DNA genetics and greenhouse seeds seem to get good reviews too, though I've never...
That'll work as long as you can get them to root. Looks like you've got a slight nute/ph issue, so rooting may take a little longer than expected. Not necessarily though. Some look a little overwatered too, but I digress. May take 1-3 weeks to get them to show sex after rooting.
I don't get...
I usually cover the break in honey and then tape it... Tie it off if it's too heavy to hold itself.
You're bound to break a few branches from training and sometimes just on accident. No big deal.
Maybe throw some insulation around the tank as well. If the heater you have in there isn't doing anything, I'd say get a better heater and insulate. That's about all you can do if you can't move it to a warmer area.
I run 60-70 during the seedling stage. Down to 50-60 lights off. Between 70-80% humidity.
After the 3rd node I gradually increase up to 70-85 (sativa/indica dependent). Down to 65-75 lights off. 50-60% humidity.
Flowering same temps until the last 2-3 weeks. Down to 65-75 lights on, 55-65...
If you go with the bubbas gift, that would be ok for veg. Switch to a 4-5 gal for flowering. The root mass can be quite intimidating for such a small plant. Even some small storage totes with holes and landscaping cloth (airpot style) will give you volume without increasing height as long as you...
