Diy digital 4 light controller with timer

yeah, i get that. i thought he was suggesting something else. i want to start this project asap, but finding the stuff i need will be hard where i live, i will prolly have to make a trip to the city, as a "contactor" will be impossible to find around here, also, id like to use a digital wall...

Diy digital 4 light controller with timer

What? I'm using T101's as timers alreay, but each one power's one outlet, which one ballast runs off of.... I have 120v power running to my timer's. I don't see what you are getting at, as I dont see how a guy would hook 4 or 5 ballasts up to one T101? I have room in my panel for another double...

    Homemade light mover ideas?

a buddy wants to build his own mover as well... we are looking for a cheap used bbq rotisserie motor as suggested earlier. he has a bed approx 48" x 48", and a 1000w with a batwing refector, he doesnt want the light to move allot, just about 6", in a circular motion, this will enhance the light...

DIY 4-6 light controller for under $80

So with this original design in mind, Is it feasible to build one of these that could handle five 1000w HPS ballasts? I'm wondering if one controller (relay) could handle the power for five ballasts? Im also looking for a digital timer, thats of good quality that I could build right into the...

DIY 4-6 light controller for under $80

The whole idea behind the multi ballast controller is to get away from using a bunch of timers.... the reason I want to build one is to guarantee my lights come on and go off at the same time. Its almost impossible to get individual timers to start/stop in sync. I am expanding my room to five...

    Convert MH to HPS?

yeah, i seen that thread, thing is, it doesnt really go too much into detail, as there is no schematic, and one guy there says its not a good idea to convert one.... im wondering if all i need to do is wire an ignitor into the MH ballast and its good to go?

Diy digital 4 light controller with timer

jeez, i was thinking of putting together a 5 ballast light controller myself, but after reading this thread, i dunno.... at first it seemed like a fairly simple thing to do, but now i just can't wrap my head around it. I'd like to build one where there would be a small delay between the start up...

    Convert MH to HPS?

Hi guys. Now i researched this, but havn't found a definitive answer. I acquired a 1000w MH ballast today, with a horizontal hood and bulb. I would like to convert the ballast to HPS, and know its possible, but i'm not exactly sure how to? Now please don't tell me to get a conversion bulb...

    New build, just getting started.....

Naw, it's just the way it looks. the outside rows are just being shaded too much by the inside rows. I picked up another 4" and added it to the backside of the room, so now there are three on that side. Next week i'll find another 4' and finish the frontside. (i'm getting them for 6 bucks at a...

    New build, just getting started.....

That is an awesome idea! But, another issue the horizontal ones address for me, is the lack of vertical height.... I could lower my grow bed by 12" to get another foot, which would work as well! I dont know where i would find used yubes, but it is a very good option! Thanks!

    New build, just getting started.....

Just a quick update..... we added the other 4 ft florescence's, so there are 4 of them in total, one on each corner. I believe this will help, as those area's are so dark due to the tall middle plants! And, yesterday a buddy dropped by and said he a 1000w ballast, bulb and hood laying around...

    New build, just getting started.....

LOL... yeah, well its not that bad, I work full time as well. After building everything, its a couple, three hours a week. ;-) Although it seems a guy is never done changing/ modifying things. My goal is to get 7 lbs off 74 plants, in 10 weeks. ;-) (2 weeks veg/8 weeks flower).

    New build, just getting started.....

We just had a hell of an idea.... we just came from the grow. I picked up a bunch of 4 foot florescent lights for 8 bucks a piece, and figured i'd hang some around the outside perimeter of my grow bed, as the outside rows are getting shaded out real bad by the huge plants in the middle rows...
