ive never had a issue with burning my plants. i start out with half the recommended amount for the first week. then i go to full. but i did use "feed feed water" and when i just watered them i made sure i had a bunch of run off to make sure i wasnt getting a salt buildup

and as far as the benefits of using MH....most experienced growers would tell you its a waist of money....a plant will vegg of a hps or cfl or t5s much cheaper than getting a seperate ballast hood ect... you can spend 75 on a realy nice set of 5ts and vegg 10plants at a time if not more...u will...

as far as the grow area...you would need a completly seperate area for your dark time for you flowering plants...lets say hypothetically that your doing it in a basement...one bedroom would be used for flowering one bedroom used for vegging...as flowering plants cannot have any light leaks it...

another thing to look at is your ph in your water??? any idea what that is

yup fox farm grow big for vegging and fox farm tiger and big bloom for flowering.....i personally use ionic is alot cheaper and i think it works just as good..

dont use pots the taper at the bottom.....u never know how much roots zone your loosing

also it looks like they might be getting pretty close to the final weeks of vegging...the plant wolnt need much N thru flowering so make sure u dont over do it

i would let them soke up the nutes in the scotts soil for a good 2-3 weeks or until u see signs of yellowing of the older leaves... before you start feeding them but other than that just water like you normally would....or flush out the nutes and start feeding......other than that i would let...
