    selfmedicator462's first grow!

So this shit just keeps getting weirder.....i planted my last blue cheese in a solo cup of pro mix yesterday. This morning the taproot grew a half inch into the sky!!! I even made double sure it was pointing down. I gently repositioned it. I hope it takes back off. Ive got my 3 dairy queens in a...

    selfmedicator462's first grow!

yeah they all cracked and were planted in pellets but never took off. I dug them up and they are jet black and the taproot is gone :( I PHed my tap water at 7.5 so i adjusted it down to 6.5. My last Blue cheese was showing its taproot so I planted it in a solo cup with Promix this time. Should...

    selfmedicator462's first grow!

Im wondering if distilled water might have slowed its growth? I went to tap after the "feeding" and its starting to uncurl but its WAY behind for a plant going on 3 weeks. The other 3 are DOA. So I started one more Blue cheese and 3 TGA Dairy Queens. My area in the basement has been staying...

    Did i fry my seedling?

Kinda wonder if the distilled water stunted the growth. I think I'm going to try the next batch in cups instead of the pellets. I'm using pro mix for a medium btw. Save one transplanting step that way.

    Did i fry my seedling?

So where did I go wrong? I mean besides feeding. Obviously this seedling wasn't growing. It hadn't changed for a week. I had it in a humidity dome on a heat mat under a f17t8 lamp. I was watering with distilled water which I'm not going to do any more. Should I have stuck it under my 400 watt mh...

    Did i fry my seedling?

yeah this one is just over 2 weeks. Thats why i thought id be fine by feeding. Even all the books i have say to feed after 2 to 4 weeks. Its a learning experience for sure.

    Did i fry my seedling?

thanks for that tid bit. Actually ive read a few on the subject. I fed it because of some "experienced" growers here said since your using pellets you need to feed.

    Did i fry my seedling?

So this one is 2 weeks old and was the only one out of 4 that took off. It was doing good so i pulled it out of the dome and gave it a little bit of 1/8 strength nutes. This morning it looked like this and the pellet was pretty dry. Nute burn? or just dry? Should I have repotted this already...

    selfmedicator462's first grow!

so yesterday I pulled it out of the dome and gave it the smallest shot of 1/8 strength nutes and this is what i found this morning. The pellet was pretty dry. This one is 2 weeks old. Should it have been repotted already?

    selfmedicator462's first grow!

I pulled this one out of the dome. It might be getting kinda spindly in there. I went ahead and soaked my 5th Blue Cheese seed today just incase those others dont make it. I dont feel like running lights and fans for one plant. Ill just have one plant a week ahead of the other.

    selfmedicator462's first grow!

I ended up digging up the 3 seeds that havent sprouted. Somehow they ended up at the bottom of the jiffy pellets! They werent growing either. Not sure how cause i only planted them a quarter inch deep. So i replanted them and will hope they take off again.

    Germination worries

Not sure how they got that deep. Hopefully they will resume sprouting after I dug them out and replanted. If not.......guess I learned something.

    Germination worries

I couldn't resist.......I dug around and found them way too deep in the pellets! Like a quarter inch from the bottom. Not sure what happened. I know they were not that deep when I placed them in the holes. Not much growth either. So I replanted them. Hopefully they take off.

    Germination worries

whats funny is that was the smallest seed in the bunch and it went ape shit!

    Germination worries

I soaked my seeds last Friday for 24 hours. Transferred them to a damp cloth for 2 days and they had all popped with little tails (one had a half inch tail). I then put them in jiffy pellets in a humidity dome and added light and a heat mat. The one is 2" tall already and the others havent even...

    selfmedicator462's first grow!

So here is my little make shift germination center. I stuck them on top of the plenum on my furnace to germinate but now i have a heat mat. Running a F17T8 full spectrum for light. All seeds had popped with just a little tail hangin out when I put them in the jiffy pellets 2 days ago except for...

    Disposing of cuttings, stems ect

Just curious to those living in states with zero tolerance.....how do you dispose of your waste? Obviously tossing it in the trash is a no no.
