We'll both have to start on the same journal ( team up ) on our grows doin half using are freebies and half normal maybe we can get them to sponsor us like they do him. Therefor free products for both of us.

Haha kpac, that's an idea! I'm just trying to figure out what the control might be. I have the Botanicare line so I could separate using just the nute line on one set and nutes/beneficials on the other.

Did you get your package already kpac? I'm not getting ansty quite yet, it's been about 3 days. I sort of expect it on Monday or Tuesday. I was watching through ALSKILOW1's videos and he has one where he uses Azos alone for clones. The first time he tried it he made a paste out of the Azos and used it like cloning gel getting it all around the cut. Although it did work, it wasn't as fast as using the rooting hormone plus some other shit he used as well. He got a reply from Extreme Gardening themselves and they told him to dilute the paste even more the next go around. He had amazing results the second time through with the more diluted paste, just using Azos for cloning.

One thing I'm noticing with my grow, the Hog is getting the slightest of nute burn when I water my ladies. I just make up 1 gallon at a time and water all my plants the same vegging nutes. I guess my question would be, does the size/structure of the leaf/plants have anything to do with the amount you should be nuting them? The Hog has the most delicate leaf structure of the 5 strains I have going. When the leaves are just popping out and growing they look like toothpicks and sort of evolve in a jokers hat looking thin leaves and finally turn into somewhat normal looking leaves. I think in the future I'm going to water that plant last and dilute the nute concentration on it.

I know this sounds silly and quite possibly stupid on my part....BUT I have a tad nute burn here and thier on my ladies...honestly their good green healthy girls like yours (not as bushy but still decent) and I even have a bit of a burn. I like your idea of dilluting the nutes although just make sure you re-check your pH...Also and this is a question I have for you about my grow...I was thinkign of dubling the amoutn of fert I use now since it's in double the pot size double the dirt double the amount the entire mixture has go through to get to the roots. I think we're at about the same stage of growth so how much you feeding your ladies..b/c if it's a gallon per plant I"m def underfeeding.

While I'm still thinking about it 420, head to the bottom of the 4th page, post #37 I think. They're giving away large free samples of their beneficials.

@420- I'm using what I thought were 2 gallon pots (turned them over and they say 1.5 gallon) and my first watering I was checking how much water it took for the pot to start draining to waste. I was using my water bottle that is 32 ounces and it took 3 bottles before I got about 10-15% runoff. I now use about 1 1/2 32 ounce bottles per plant when I'm just feeding nutes. I water twice with nutes, then once with just plain water. So it would be nute, nute, water, nute, nute, water etc.. When I water with just plain water (PH'd of course) I use about 3/4 of a gallon per pot and that runoff leaches away some of the nutes you've been pushing through there. This is to help reduce salt build-ups in the coco.

To answer your question, you don't need to double the nutes you're putting in. I'm not exact on what you meant though. Since the pots are bigger now you will need to add more of the nutrient solution to the pot to get it all wet, that's for sure. Your plant size is going to give you a rough estimate on the strength of the nutrient solution. I'm at about 3/4 strength nutrients at the moment.

Ok, I'm retarded, you're in soil. When you're adding nutes to the soil you just keep the same ratios as you move up. If you're making a larger batch, 1 cup of fine dolomite lime works for 2 cubic feet of soil. If you're making a larger batch of soil, say 4 cubic foot of soil, you would use 2 cups. The ratio of stuff should remain the same.

Ahh well I was talking nute amount glad you were able to clarify in the second post :) As far as strength I'm just using the roots organics feeding schedule the plants seem great so I'm quite pleased I seemed to pick a winning strategy my first grow...lots of work left to go on them though. Also it's funny we have the exact same ratios as far as water:Nutes..I do mine a little different I subscribe to a method which ironically was one of my first reads here at RIU called "make it rain" it's waaay too complicated to explanation in one post (since the whole concept takes up two thread) but I think that it's pretty neat we same to be on the same page.

Just took 8 clones, if they make it I'll post pictures of them. I used coco in little cups to put the clones in, hope it works. I got 3 off the Kryptonite, 1 off the Poison, 2 off the Hog and 2 off the Romulan. The Poison is the only one I didn't take a top clone from. The rest are now topped and I took the lowest branch on each and the 2 lowest from the Kryptonite. I'll get some pictures up after they bounce back from their trauma.

As soon as these clones are rooting it's off to the races, flowering time for their mothers. So hopefully within 2 weeks I'll be flowering, may take some more clones when I pop them in as well.

All in all, fun experience for the first time, I used some unconventional ways of cloning and I hope shit ends up ok.

Had a wild hair up my ass so I decided to transplant Panchota to a 2 gallon container. Roots were looking very nice and shooting out of the bottom of the 1 liter container.

Since I didn't top or do anything with the Poison other than take a clone, I gave her a good FIM job. Looks like it should be 4 tops if I did it right.

Hey It just popped into my head man. And I am still waiting on mine but we have time to come up with a gameplan though.

Actually the nuit regiment is determined by what week you are in. It has nothing to do with plant itself. But the plant will tell when its to much and so I would lower it like you did.

Have you seen if botanica has a calculation chart on their websight. For my canna you plug in everything your useing and it will tell you what to use and when. Check botanica see if they do

Say you were vegging a plant for 2 months, according to the back of whatever bottle I would be into the flowering stage now and be on a completely different nutrient. There's a reason you use less of the vegging nute the smaller a plant is. If I went full strength of 25 ml to the gallon on a barely rooted clone of a seedling I would burn it, there's no question. So amount of nutes per gallon really does matter at this phase and even in the flowering phase.

The chart for the flowering part is more sensitive. It does only however show an 8 week chart. Some strains take up to 13 weeks to ripen. If you only went by weeks according to the chart a long flowering strain would get 0 food for 5 weeks? You have to use common sense with this stuff. According to the veg chart on back of the bottle, 10 ml for clones/seedlings, 15 ml for week 2, then 20 ml for week 3. Seems to me plant size is determining the amount of nutes you are using.

Yeah I if I have a 14 week strain I duplicate the weeks in the middle. Start in the middle and add out. So you start light and finish regular

http://www.americanagritech.com/fertilizers/cns17

That's the correct site for the nutrients. I have the cns17 coco specific grow and bloom, and the cns17 ripe.

I've got a pretty good handle on it so far, thanks for the links though. I downloaded that software even before I started my grow. Haven't really started using it, just my journal.

No, it's the Botanicare line. AN is another company, as well as Canna, Humboldt, Yellow Bottle, can't believe you haven't heard of Botanicare.

ok

I was doing some research and found a bunch of info on botanicare funny because most of its from here

Hey did you know that if you do a search from your engine(mines google) you get a better search result of what is on riu than in the search in here
