the clones still have not shown sex and pepper is still lookin puny. i have moved the lights up today to get some stretching like piff said. i have been debatin on doing this for about a week allready. im hopin that this clone off her will show some hairs here pretty soon. this damn not knowin shit is killin me lol.

Haha, yeah. waiting for sex to show and deciding when to harvest were the most irritating parts of my first grow. its horrible, lol!

ok so i think i figured out what was wrong with pepper i was checkin the ph and when i would probe different sides of the pot i would get way different readings. i finally figured out that when i was probing the root ball from the soda bottle i used earlier in the grow the ph was like 5.1 when i would probe the new soil the dirt was 6.7 to 6.8 so i decided to transplant and hope for the best. i took her out back and rinsed her root ball of when i got all the new soil from around the soda bottle rootball i found that it was hard as concrette so i rinsed it out as best as i could and put her back in her pot and put good soil back in her and am hopin 4 the best. also the clones still havent shown there sex yet and im really gettin impatient lol

holy shit it is what i have been waitin for the cherry clone has finally showed sex and im proud no announce it is a she!!! i have been getting so impatient the last few days to the point where i was inventing shit i was seeing i was lookin so hard for hairs. i have got the flower cab built but by no way is it complete. i will be adding more and more as i need it. diesil riggs is still in limbo im seeing something forming but cant be sure yet.
here is the flowering chamber the outside dimensions are 31'' wide 24'' deep and 41'' high
this picture isnt the best but if you look you can see the hairs im talkin about
this is cherry and the size of the clones im takin from her

CONGRATS on the girl man! i have been doing some mad LST over the last 5 days. cant wait to show some pictures on saturday of what i am getting! i just bend the plant a different way so i could allow another spot to compete

ok the girls are looking great this evening and im seing tons of lil hairs everywhere. its almost like they have doubled every day. is this normal? also i am thinking of changing my lighting in the flower box to 2 70w hps. im just looking at it will be way less energy consumption than if i used cfls because i would have to have so many of them. i will post pics of what i have going on with the girls friday and will do weekly updates after that.

its not weird for them to look like they are all hairs at the beginning of flowering. as the buds grow and fatten up the hairs will not be as prominent.

cool deal i was just worried something was wrong. it just seemed that they were just sticking out of nothing at all like there was no bud formage just hairs. now that i have given them a few days i can see some green bud under all those hairs now. i am about another week off from switching peppers clone to 12/12 to determine sex. i just got the first clone from the six i cut last week rooted and planted this evening. i added a heat pad under the lil green house and im hopin that they will start rooting with no prob at all. my goal is to grow lolipop style in the soda bottles. i want this to be a perpetual grow and am wondering if i should swap to a small set of hps lights since the plants will be staggered in height?
