much respect brotha! I'm sorry for bashing ya... I'm a pot snob, but you bro are the marijuana equivalent to a vegan.... IMO plants are "designed" to filter toxic sludge.... in the grand scheme of things, a little fertilizer with heavy metals and radioactive compounds are the least of my worries I smoke cigarettes too.... (though it should be higher up there!)

I wasn't serious about the duck dynasty shit.....

You can do what you want with it (the 16oz cup) as long as everyone can see that there are no roots growing out of it

cannabis and hemp is a plant that is and can be used for phytoremediation. Sunflowers and comfrey do the same. They don't filter anything. They are used to clean and absorb heavy metal, toxic waste, oil spills, etc.. out of the ground. If your ground soil is highly contaminated. grow some hemp or sunflowers or comfrey for a couple years and it will absorb everything in the ground.

When you smoke chemically grown pot. You absorb all those chemicals and heavy metals into your body. In the long run will cause cancer, brain damage, respiratory issues, metal poisoning, bone damage, deteriate cartilage, speed up ostioporosis... This is all fact and already been proven by doctors and scientists. There were articles every where about it last year.

look who the director of agriculture is. The guy is almost 90 years old. Was just relected to his seat. He makes the rules that monasanto pays him to make. Heads in monsanto are in the dept of agriculture and Obamas cabinet. Monsanto has been around for a 100 years and they also makes chemical weapons. They made agent orange and was used in vietnam. They made ddt, The poison gas used to eradicate jews during world war 2.


Monsanbto was kicked out of the maxum yield expo in boston for stealing trademark property from bio ag and are being sued by bio ag.

Personally, I care more about pesticide and herbicide use than the synthetic liquid fertilizers. Monsanto seems to be a "bad" corporation, but I'm not against GMOs.

Ok the rules say 16oz party cup, it doesn't say what kind of party. It does not say the brand name "Solo". So can I use any party cup, as long as it's 16oz's. Two examples below.... can I use any 16oz party cups? technically those are 16oz party cups...

Mine will be led grown. I plain to add 100 watts of white leds to go from 500 to 600 watts at some point hope it will bee cool.

that was directed at @Socalrob 's post.. Gh is all bad harmful chems. 99.9% of all bottled nutes are full of harmful chems. All the companies lie. But I was referring to that meme. Some people in the comp did use MG. Its a fact that Mg does contain toxic sludge.

I don't use guano either. I do use clover as a cover crop.

Guano is just as bad as those chems. It carries harmful pathogens. Also alters bats ecosystem, mining for guano in bat caves. Bad for the environment. Its good you didn't dump the resi. Dumping resi's pollutes ground soil, ground water and fresh water sources.

I am a pot snob. I will only smoke true organically grown buds and properly made non solvent hash. I do not smoke bho , qwiso, and co2 extracts. I've been growing for along time. I've learned quite a bit over the years. I also grow for sick people too. So I want to have the cleanest meds possible. I don't want my pot creating sickness and disease.

A few questions to clarify.

Light. I usually use LED and often supplement with CFL. If I use both the entire grow, is that ok? If not I will just go LED or CFL.

Nutes. I use both GH Flora and sometimes supplement with left overs of my recipe for success. Is it ok to use both? Or should I just choose one.

Plain old 16 oz solo dixie cup of course. If I go dro instead of my usual hempy, can I have a res to feed and something to catch overflow?

Basically the plan is to go LED and CFL Supp 12/12. Build a bubbler that drip into Dixie cup filled with hydroton. Have an overflow tube and container to catch the runoff as it overfills the level I want to DWC. Also I use Pargro quick drain cubes to germ.

P.S. Can someone link me up to past Dixie cup contests so I can get my knowledge on. I apologize for being stupid but, I have a problem naving this site on the phone and don't know how to search either. Thanks.

Lighting- Decide in the beginning what lighting you will use, One the other or both... Just no changing sources or adding/subtracting lighting once decided. All lighting usage must be declared in your first official update
Nutrients- Again decide what you are using and declare it in the first post
Medium- As long as the roots are contained in your 16oz cup there is no medium restrictions- The last competition was won with gravity fed miniature DWC of my own design.... Get creative!
