i haven't looked on the lowes/home depot sites, but i do remember seeing the 150w security lights for under $50 at 1 of the 2 stores
not sure of quality, which as mentioned, you may want to research

i'd flip you my 150w hps for cheap.

it's only 3 months old (12/12) and i only use it for side light.

+1 for buying one on ebay : $89 shipped to my door.

so you know, the 150w HPS fixture is about the size of a standard shoebox & puts drops about 16,000 lumens.

Oops....my bad....the mini is slightly smaller! 16 Long 13 Wide 6 Tall vs. 14L 10W 5T. not much diff.

I rather get one with a separate ballast because the one enclosed gets hot in the growroom and it needs to be vented.That was my exp with it.
