Jack already has two teams working under him and could create more as the evidence dictates, it depends on how many rat out others among other things. He could hand off crimes to other parts of the DOJ, or create a team to investigate and prosecute. Jack is kinda the head of a special department with its own eventual organization, depending on how big it gets and how far it goes. After Trump is gone for the docs, the focus will be on J6, Trump, his cronies, minions and allies in congress.

while i am eternally doubtful about the proper application of justice, i have to hope that there are already investigations going on into all of those items, and that Garland will either oversee them himself, or that Smith was just the first announcement of a few...or many...

He was given prosecutorial powers. I would think it would be a normal matter to hand each one off to another prosecutor but I have no idea.

I'm hoping Jack has asked the lead investigarors on the case to write up their inditements and cite the evidence they have proving the case, so that he can evaluate their cases. Then make what ever changes he thinks best, and charge him on Thanksgiving so we can all celebrate a Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm no expert on special prosecutors but I assumed Mr. Smith will have a staff of assistants, no?

Did not Mueller have guys under him doing some/most of the grunt work?

These prosecutors can't do this all by themselves I wouldn't think. But never having been investigated, what do I know?

Since I am an optimist, I’d like to think this frees Garland up to go after more elusive game, like the billionaires who funded sedition.

They are making everything public anyway from what I can gather, maybe will transfer some stuff to Jack. If they win in Georgia, they will have a clear majority and majorities on committees too, Georgia is important. Dunno what the senate would do with Jack out there ripping the field up, they won't want to get in his way. The J6 committee report should be his roadmap and they will probably write it that way, with Jack on the scene they might make a few changes to point him in the right direction, if required. The senate can't put people in prison, Jack can, so Jack counts more, we already know the truth, or enough of it.

Yep, Jack won't fuck around, the only thing that might delay indictment would be Herschel's runoff on Dec 6th. The Canon shit will be settled and unless she is mad, she won't stick her nose in again, he has an emergency appeal before her to try and find out who the rats are, good luck with that! If she keeps fucking around in things that are none of her business, she might have to deal with Jack herself one day. The judiciary branch needs better ethics and ways of policing and investigating itself, she, Alito, Thomas and others have proved that.

Indictment day for Donald should be something to see, will he surrender in DC, or will they knock on his door early in the morning, just as he's getting to sleep? :lol:
