Do I keep my seedling in direct sunlight after germination??

Hi guys I’m a new grower and my seeds got done germinating today so planted them in soil, Ive read put them by a sunny window until it sprouts but I have no sunny windows in my house! Is it fine to have it just in direct sunlight?? This is the 1st day so far Its just been in sun and often I open a umbrella over then for some Shade. I also have a bag over the pots to keep up humidity.

You can start them outside just like you are describing after fear of frost is over. But be careful, they are sensitive in the beginning and you can loose them if they get to hot, if you can provide some partial shade in the first week it would be best.

One good thing about doing it that way is that there is no need to harden plants off if they are started outside.

I have started them outside in a hoophouse(the plastic diffuses the light somewhat) with no problems. Just be careful, some cover during the most intensely hot part of the day for the first couple of days to a week would be a good idea.

I've been putting seedlings I started inside under lights outside to get full sun. They are doing just fine. In fact it was 90F today. You can plant cannabis directly in the ground like you would cucumber, squash, or other seeds and they will sprout and grow just fine. Just don't let them dry out if they're in the sun.

Ditch the bag you're using as a makeshift dome. It's not needed.

Thanks for your input, very helpful! I have a thermometer so I put them in shade when they get above 87 or so degrees, when it drops to around 70 I put it back in sun, so I’m always trinna keep ideal temps. Also I’ve been bringing them indoors in the night is it good I do that in this stage of the plant or don’t matter?

Like @xtsho said, Ditch the bag. It will only do more harm than good. Seedlings need all the fresh air they can get. Any type of humidity dome, or a 'bag' in this case, will cause them to dampen off and die rapidly.

I feel like the soil dries from the sun way to fast without the bag, I took them off just now so they can breath trough the night, but don’t seedling need high humidity? I put tiny wholes in the bags Ik it won’t do much but better then nothing. If you rlly recommend I should keep them off pls lmk. But I would just have to water way more frequently right? (This my first grow)

Lose the bag or risk damping off and losing the plants eh? Lose the dome idea. Not only unnecessary but potentially harmful.
