it takes a while for the stem to grow roots like what hes saying if u bury 3 inches of your plant....u will loose the 3inches in the bottom where the real roots are growing already....just get a better grow light next time and u wont have that strech in your next run...a little strech isnt bad for the plants thats just my preference....i like having air flow through my buds...depends on the plant to...if u have budlets or baseball bat plants....she has the height space for the strech 8-10feet is alot of height room.....well iam off the way i write people dont understand but if u understand me that all that matters...hope i helped u out peace out
I think it’s best you stand aside for a few weeks and do some research before pitching in on first timers getting started. You need to stop stepping on Lilly pads and baiting the hook for people to trash on you. You make it easy with your grammar/punctuation errors. That’s a fact. And I’m no saint at language arts. At all. Then giving your life story shows your a mess and then belittling yourself to add cherries.

I just took a few moments to review that ungodly block of text and realized that it's the forum equivalent of being forced to take a city bus then having to sit next to someone who looks quite normal only to realize once they open their mouths you've lost the lottery and you'll be getting a ride of enforced listening to someone opening a pandora's box of tough-luck stream of conscience word salad life-story; and quite possibly it was day pass from the group home day.

In the meantime, sound advice for someone who's got stretched stems in the early seedling/first steps of veg phase would be to transplant and bury that stem a bit. No supports will be needed. Add a little bit of gentle breeze from a fan to strengthen the plant fibers and the seedlings will be just fine.

I said that as friendly and non threatening as can be. And I used to not care about grammar in simple text and what not. But business emails, talking to sponsors, work uppers, anything business. You kinda have to be up most professional, Essp thru text.

On a forum. We as people actually read with emotion and that’s proven. So capitals, and punctuation is VERY important in forum talk. And that’s me eating my own words from when I first joined.

In a written environment you're judged by how you write & communicate in print. A decent portion of that is structural, the rest is content. When I came to RIU I was surprised at how really relaxed people were about such things, but this is about 10x beyond that.

No one, whether they're following along on a computer screen or a phone screen wants a block of text without line breaks, punctuation, capitalization, etc., and throw in text-speak and willful disregard of actual spelling and here we are.

Follow that with a good bit of self-righteous 'this is how you do it......i have the secrets......ignore what others say.......' and it just becomes obnoxious.

i really dont care if people talk shit about my teaching skills or grammer....i dont need any of those skills i like being the hard worker i dont like being the boss or manager that shit is wak the dude above me saying being professional is literally for bosses already i bet if i was a millionaire and i talk the way i do and write people will still work with me cause i got money(hard workers like me is the reason why bosses and mangers get to sit on their ass while at work if the workers fail their is no buisness) ...you guys can still understand what iam saying and just bitching the way i teach...you want me to get a teaching degree now so u can read it right and understand what iam saying? i perfer to make an anthill instead of burying it....btw u need strech cause most bugs come from the soil...and they jump to other plants with the leaves (thrips, gnats) i seen it with my own eyes already but watever handle and grow how ever u want and the end of the day its your own preference...u can have ur fantasy ass words and grammer....but ur advice is garbage if u have no hands on experience with soil...( being sarcastic btw) your slowing down the growth when u bury to have the top side stem for roots to grow out while ur getting a root structure in the bottom already but handle and do u...and ill do me cause iam happy the way i grow and read n write

All that’s wrong bro. That’s what I’m getting at. Your advise is awful. And you buy bags of dirt outside at home depot. That’s why you got bugs jumping from the soil. I promise a sterile bag of dirt from a trusted resource is much better than outdoor garden dept soil.

If you wanna be heard, or anyone read that block of crap, punctuation is going to be your best friend.

Give everyone’s eyes a rest lol

put this in your tiny little mind....bigger roots= bigger fruits......if u bury your plant 3-4 inches of strech to the colytons...u will loose 3-4inches in the root ball you are forming already...it will take at least 2weeks before the stem even break through of roots maybe longer...an anthill is better advice than telling her to slow down her growth...cause at the end of the day if she still dosent get that grow light she is still going to have strech dude....what is she going to do after bury the whole plant???? ? just buy the grow light if u dont want your plants being all lanky and strechy-__________________- thats the best advice any1 can give for stechy plants....this guy bury ur plant dont get me wrong ive dont it before and it didnt work out for me u can try it and dig down and see how long it takes ur gonna have a smaller plant listening to this professional grower with perfect grammer(sarcastic)

For the record, burying the stem a bit won't stop the root ball from doing anything it should be doing. That's not how plants work. It will grow roots from they buried stem as well as push roots out further from the root-mass you already have.

If you have the problem of bugs jumping from soil to leaf (not sure that they won't just crawl up the stem anyway), there's a bunch of ways to take care of critters while you're in veg. But hopefully you started with clean soil and that's not an immediate issue.

i place yellow sticky traps on the main stem iam not saying it wont grow roots...i just dont have an extra 2 weeks or longer to form it....i still havent gotten a 5 gallon to be root bound not enough time for my schedule ive only gotten a 2g rootbound all the way to the top u couldnt even dab ur finger into it feels like a hard sponge lol all this is just a personal preference and the space iam working with...you have any pics of your soil grow?????

why do the ufos look that way? The first one is also being helped with toothpicks because it’s kind of leaning ? The other ufo is strong I just think they don’t look right? And the white widow I think looks fine ?
Are you still letting them dry out? They still look pretty wet?

What light are you using? You said it was a bar style LED. What kind of wattage is it drawing and how close to the plants is it?

The soil looks that way because when I was at work my boyfriend watered them even tho I told him not too, the wattage is 650 I believe, but I just ordered a different led light with more wattage. And it’s pretty close, my new light comes in today and I’m going to buy the new pots to transfer them into today as well. And a fan.

:o no more water!! Lol. It's common to over love your plants but it's not healthy for them.

The 650w claim probably is just that a claim and not actual draw. Even if it was 200w draw I wouldn't have it any closer than 24 inches.
