sounds good GP. a man's gotta upgrade once in a while lol. i just keep my costs under what i would spend to buy bud, and all is justifiedSchweet !
Thanks for the advice !
I'm in teh middle of upgrading.... got the tax money back... got 4 x 100Watt CFL's adding that to my allready 260 Watts (660 Watts) and an IoLite vaporizer.
AAAAaaaaaannnnnd ... thats all The wife will Prob laet me do for a loooooooooooong time. She keeps telling me my hobby is expensive.... well... only when i upgrade (which I haven't done in a while.)
So... hopefully i will see more results in the near future !
hey bro, thanks for that info on heat & trichs and harvest time variability. really helps. i responded more on your thread about the sick girls, but i'm curious what were you spraying with? i mean, just plain water or some kind of foliar spray? good luck man, i hope that all clears up for you, and look forward to bubblegum but only when she's good and readyI never heard of heat making the trics turn amber or degrade more. i do know that light makes the trics degrade and it is possible that the light is very intense where the trics are turning. but I'm not sure about that because i know the sun has more lumen's than my cfls and my outside plants don't turn out near as frosty. but that could be because of rain and other things. It is very hot outside sometimes and they don't really turn color any faster. And remember it's the head of tric that you're watching.
but as for a sativa being ready early, that is not that strange. I had the same strains for over a year now and they are all a clone of a clone and I can tell ya that every single plant is different. same strain or not, every plant has a different requirement. I've had a sativa that was ready 7 weeks after the 12/12 switch. and I've had twin sisters take 10 weeks! I feel it's all up to the ganja gods!
As for my grow, I'm not sure if I will have one to chop. I have a bubblegum that might be ready... i misplaced my scope and I have been super busy over the past two weeks and some of my girls have suffered a little bit. about a month ago i really fucked up and sprayed my plants with a bottle that had algae in the bottom(I'm such an ass!) and I bought new ones at the dollar tree and they sucked so I bleached the bad bottle and now I'm seeing problems again. I've thrown the bottle away but the damage is done and now i am paying the consequences. One of the contaminated plants is a large diesel that i was gonna start flowering tomorrow. I'm gonna do a huge flush tomorrow but flushing didn't seem to help my other sick plants out. I just hope i fix it before the entire veg box dies! lots of gardening to do tomorrow. wish me luck!
thakns bro. checked out that link, info seems solid. only thing is that it says at some point tch degrades to cbd, i don't think that's right. thc degades to cbn (and cbd is strain dependent). but either way, useful pics in there.heres something i found on here about light, trichs, and thc, its pretty good. man, sorry about the one dude backing out. you don't have more than 12 plants now, right? you're talking about summer time i guess? it's good that you're being cautious bro, but i bet those choppers are looking for bigger fish, at least i would hope so. what a waste of resources to go for small scale medical grows, just ridiculous. thanks man for the props on my plants. i will need to be extra vigilent about the PM these last couple weeks because i've been noticing creeping up into the sugar leaves, usually a few spots around the plant which i spray down with greencure. wanna be done with this grow already and hopefully never have to deal with PM again!!! peace brother.Meta checking in, shit looks solid. I gotta say, my man, that you have some trich coated leaves there, look like some good strains for making hash. I just got my seeds today, and I need to place one more order before I have the variety I wished for...But someone just dropped the bomb on me, I thought I was working with 3 doctors rec's, so I could grow 18 mature plants, but one of my folks just backed out on me, so now I gotta see if I can figure something out real quick. Anyone know the process for starting a co-op with people who don't live on the property? Is it the same as when they DO live on the property? Pretty much I planned on posting copies of the 'scripts outside of the garden, and a while back I found this co-op document that everyone signs, pretty much stating that they're not growing anywhere else and this is their medication growing. Sound good? I mean, I'm already in a pretty rural area, but we have pork choppers flying all over looking for plants on state land (my property backs up against state park land, NO i'm not growing anywhere near the property line), so I'm just concerned that they'll count more than 12 plants and send someone over. I already told everyone that at some point we will most likely be visited by the police, but since it's all legit there is nothing to worry about...Fuck I'm rambling and this isn't even my thread, I'm sorry dawg, your plants look awesome! Fucking coated in resin and looking sweeter every day! I just put video up on my thread, but doesn't do the buds justice like a good picture. Keep it up brother!
thanks man, i'm taking it a day at a time till the finish line!very nice pics shit looks so tasty congrads man keep that shit up
yeah, that's a good point. but i wonder if the trichs on the sugar leaves are at the same stage of ripeness as the trichs on the buds? anyone know this? i might have to snip a little one off just to compare (and then smoke the evidence lol)Ya dont havta take a whole bud to chk trichs- i use manicure scissors& clip lil sugar leaves from few diff plants&take inside to chk out w/100x60 scope
word.thanks for the trich link cd...
thanks smokey!!beautiful!!!
thanks jhod, appreciate that!loving that blue cream sounds fuken killer looks amazing as well
yeah, that's cool kmk. i know about the "golden tinge" thing, but i think that means there are some amber trichs there (?) . could be wrong... anyway, same here, my scope is tiny and can only see a little 1/8th x 1/8th inch piece at a time or something like that.I snip little pc of bud leaf from top 1/2" of bud to chk. Mine wont view a whole bud unless its still on plant;then i shake to much! I get a good feel for where its at. I read a post from fdd on 1st grow,he said the buds will have a golden tinge to'em.you can see when there done.thats kinda how i go about it.
thanks bro, that's the info i was looking for. i'm gonna do a little research and see if it pans out, but i have a feeling you're right -- that leaf trichs amber before calyx trichs. i'll probably measure for myself as well and let you all know...I gotta go to work right now, so I'll respond in full later, but the trics on sugar leaves to mature faster than those on the calyx's. Not only did I read it somewhere, but thats how it goes for my outdoor grows, and thats what I saw when I checked Lefty (for the first time!) yesterday. Some of my sugar leaves are all cloudy, some amber, but the actual calyx's were mostly cloudy, some clear...Just speaking from experience and I could be wrong, but thats what I've observed. Catch up wit ya later tonight!
bro, if you ever make it out this way, you are more than welcome to dig into that BC haha. if the harvest goes well (and PM stays at bay) i should be good for smokes for several months!Damn homer nice pictorials bro! Those fat calyxes on the BC remind me of puffy "kitty" lips...lol. Makes me want to dig right in man. I cannot wait to see them trimmed and ready to smoke.
That is a very good point. I always make sure i bend the bud a little and get up in there to look at the trics. leaves will make it look deceiving.thanks bro, that's the info i was looking for. i'm gonna do a little research and see if it pans out, but i have a feeling you're right -- that leaf trichs amber before calyx trichs. i'll probably measure for myself as well and let you all know...

guys, it appears you are completely correct. you too meta! check out the side by sides...true... i noticed the sugar leaves were amber quite a bit before the actual calyxes were...
