I need help designing a space efficient system!!!

Well you could always do it on a smaller scale with say 2 or 4 plants in each cycle for a total of 8 or 16 plants at once...what do you mean you can have 5,000 clones rooting?

well I have enough space above my bed and in my small et-center to root up to 5,000 clones easly just haveing the plant get about 5 feet tall is the problum because the other clones are gona need to be planted to

yes but I know alot of people that smoke weed and I can easly sell it all and besides I want to use some plants that I'm ready to harvest for bud, shake, Hash (Pure THC) and I am going to be messing around to make diff kinds of stuff to sell because I'm cerious
 
Oh well goodluck 5,000 clones just sounds really hard to handle in such a small space or anywhere for that matter...but hey, if you can do it then go for it!
 
You can build a couple grow cabinets for a few hundred a piece.

The design I built was a 3 x 5 cabinet with hinged door and lock. from outward appearence they look like a piece of furniture or a storage box.

theyre outfitted with a 600 watt HPS and 265 CFM exhaust fan which pulls the heat away from the bulb. The intake is passive by drilling multiple holes in the back panel which faces the wall. They can fit a total of nine '3 gallon' hydro drip buckets per cabinet. Each bucket contains 4 liters of hydroton.

The airlines are threaded out the back of the cabinets through the holes to two '4 outlet' air pumps all of this is invisible to the naked eye.

The lamp cord is also threaded out the back of the cabinet to the ballast which is also located behind the cabinet and invisble to the naked eye.

Upon entering the room these cabinets look legit and someone would have to literally pull them away from the walls in order to see the air pumps and ballast behind them.

The fan is mounted to the back of the cabinet leaving approx. 7 inches of space between the wall and the cabinets. Each cabinet is placed in front of a wall outlet.

Both cabinets are strategically placed so no one can see behind them into the seven inch gap where all the hardware is located.

The floors are 3ft x 3ft with a cabinet height of 5ft.

The nine '3 gallon' hydro buckets fit in the cabinets perfectly.

Making a total of 1,200watts (600 watts per cabinet) & a total of eighteen '3 gallon' hydro drip buckets (9 per cabinet)
 
Lion...First off sweet name...second I was thinking about doing pretty much exactly what you said except with soil instead of hydro...I htink I'm gonna invest in a cool tube for my HPS to reduce the heat they give off...I could prolly just bring the intake and outake right from the back of the cab like you said...also I may add some CFLs on the side of the cab to add some 360 lighting...do you have any pics of your cab? I would love to see your setup in action so I know what everything looks like...I'm not very quick at visualizing things from descriptions haha thanks!:peace:
 
Also VV I just got GK's book today and read it all the way through...it is definitely an awesome resource for a beginner grower like myself...do you think if I mimicked his grow but in a cabinet with some alterations (which I describe above) I could get a similar harvest? :peace:

I have a question. I am currently planning a grow for a small scale S0G. I'll be brief. Basically it's an in closet armoire/entertainment unit design. Two smaller bottom portions. One large portion on top of the two small portions. The interior height of the entire unit will be just over 7'. For the two lower units. I plan to use one for the three mothers and any newbies (new strains). And for the remaining two areas I plan to use for flowering. The two smaller areas are identical in measurements - 26" x 16" x 33" high. My question is directed at lighting. As far as space is concerned is Compact T5 High Output the way to go? I was considering on getting two of these, one for each 2' section, one with the grow bulbs, and one with the bloom bulbs supposedly 10,000 lumens each.

Also, is light output constant 10k lumens throughout the length of the bulb?

Sorry. I don't have the physical cab infront of me. It's current being built by a carpenter in need of work dubbed an "entertainment unit", which will be used to hold stereo amplifiers and computer stuff. It is actually alot like the unit I currently use.
There is a very similar design around, here.

Actually... mine is still being built. I placed an order to Marijuana Seeds (cannabis Seeds) High Quality Low Prices
I will be gathering the rest of the supplies throughout the week, from several stores, home depot, etc. The lights and maybe the the fans online. For the top, 400 watt HPS w/6"cooltube. I just want to sort out the main exhaust and scrubber.

For air intake, I decided to go passive (i'll probably put in little fans). I added two horizontal cylindrical holes each 5"x2" for both the top and bottom sections, on the cabs right side. They can/will also be used to port
out the wires, and covered with cut to fit window screen, made from a spare I have. There will be a thin light barrier between them with two holes, like a cut can and the light traps on the flower side. So basically the bottom right has veg setup. The passive intake holes on the right hand side. The divider with the holes on its left hand side. Light trap over the holes. left of that in little area two, is the flower station #3. Up top right hand side is flower station #2, and on the top left is flower station #1.
It will be easier to remember and log that way. I will be doing this DWC.
With decent rubbermaid knockoffs.
I ordered the femanized mix, and maroc. Next time i'll try drchronic for the dutch-passion stuff. Alot of good reviews, and fast delivery in the states is why I went with ms.nl.

Sorry I'm high, and distracted by the large breasted young mother on Maury. I didn't even fully answer the question.
I plan to germ 6 in the veg bay. From there, I will see what's what with the plants viability, mothers, death, disease, mayhem. Hopefully, all will be healthy. Keep three mothers in the veg bay. Take cola clones from all six for flower station#1, Use the remaining of the three plants and an extra clone from each mother for station#2. Essentially, there will be a six plant DWC tub for each flower station. Station#3 is reserved for two weeks later when I take clones from the mothers. Maybe i'll keep all six plants (if all good), and just take two clones from each to fill stations one and two. Later on I would like to get a little more anal by buying strains with a shorter flowering time. I saw one dutch-passion strain that was a high yielder and finished in 6 weeks, there was another for 7 weeks.
This way I can alternate the tubs to help things run smoothly.
