Irrigation manifold (orbit) question

Last time I was shopping around for manifolds, I settled on the smaller 2 & 4 port Orbit brand ones, after researching the best options. The reason being, is they are "Full Flow", without all the restrictions of the bigger adjustable 8 port ones.

The 2 port ones have a smaller screen, but i'll drill wider holes through it with a micro bit until they output the same as the 4 ports.

I wasn't planning on a dripper system though, but I can imagine two 4 ports would flow a lot better than one of the 8 ports in any system, and figured that would work best for my project anyway.

Hoping my 1300+gph pump will be able to get a decent spray from 16 EZ clone misters, and through the manifolds too. For low pressure aero/nft system..

Mines 1/5hp 1300gph and it will do 24 sprinklers

Oh and the big 4 port orbit union manifolds could look bad ass hooked up to a drip system, with all the smaller matching green dripper manifolds hooked up to each union. Like a small block v8 with headers or something, lol. Flora can't even flex on that.. Vroom vroom!

Lol. Ya it looks pretty cool with the manifolds in between the plants. Alien spaceships lol
Do you run a backstop valve?
I do like the floraflex air bleed valve idea. Been trying to find one locally
The reason I went with the 8port is because I'm lazy and didn't want to plumb more joints in.
I did get 5x 4port manifolds too on Amazon for 30bucks.

I'm guessing the line he has going back to the res is for a vacuum break so it doesent siphon after the pump shuts off. I have a couple 8 bangers. Haven't hooked them up yet.
I thought the valves were so you can even flows out if you had a long hose in the group?

My res is a lot lower than where the rails are gonna be, like 3 feet to the where it sits, so I'm not worried about it siphoning on me. More worried about keeping it fully primed actually, because it will be cycling every 4-5 minutes, and 3 feet is pretty high to go up...

If I was all on the same level, I probably would use some kind of a one way check type valve, instead of using up a whole port on one of the 8 port dripper manifolds (for the anti siphon effect).. I'm probably gonna need the stop valve for my particular setup though, for sure.

A vacuume break is basically a small leak downstream of the pump back to the rest. Usually just a small T in the discharge hose. When the pump shuts off it allows air in preventing siphoning.
