awww muffin did my beaver upset u ??
If your definition of "good doctors" are a bunch of white sneaker douch bag money grubbing american dream wannabe plastic surgeons then my answer is yes, we have plenty of great doctors that care about patients , no the loosers that left are the ones begging for a few hours at the local community clinic to pay for their trophy wifes spray tan.

nah beavers never upset me. but it's a legitimate question. humans are very materialistic and such. but i guess some are just more comfortable to socialism then others. america has fought wars to not succumb to such ideals. we have fought wars to be free. and now if you dont want any part of the health care, you will have to pay to not participate. to my understanding anyway. is this what my ancestors wanted for america?

If you're not "comfortable to socialism" then don't ever call the fire department, police departments, don't use the roads, don't use the water, don't use the electricity, don't use the sewers, I could go on and on and on.

Do you really have ancestral roots in America going back to 1776 or before? Honestly. Most Americans don't. If you do, refer to Thomas Paine or any of the others involved that actually wanted something quite different. They existed. The guys who were already filthy rich won, just like they win today due only to the fact that they were already filthy rich.

never thought id see the day we agree on something.
you do realize i was turning the tables and expressing my gay liberal love for the individual mandate, don't you? i was not pissing on those people in indigent circumnstances through no fault of their own who dare to seek treatment for serious medical conditions...

or, as you so cleverly put it, the government being so deep in you that they have to ask if your pee is the right color

I don't want a gigantic government either. I don't want to be video taped on hundreds of cameras a day. The problem is we missed the boat. It's already like that, and it doesn't matter if you vote republican or democrat, we've had the same people in for the last 40 years solid at least.

The problem with the French Revolution, and with the American Revolution, and all of the communist revolutions, is the hate. The focus was always getting rid of the people who have the power, it's about taking the power away from those people. This ensures, without fail, that those who take the power will always become even bigger monsters than the ones before.

this is why our founders gave us rights to bear arms and secede when the grips of tyranny were tight. but when you have people embracing the tyranny, is it even tyranny anymore? this is why the founders made a republic to keep the rule of the majority down.
but it is just health care. i guess when we're all employed by the govn't we'll get the picture.

Why would it be like that? Don't you pay local taxes for those things? If I am paying for a service I expect to get said service. Taxes are not optional. You think the government GIVES you these things don't you?

wow issues i never pondered, makes me luv my sweet cannabis i mean Canada that much more!! free health care, welfare and unemployment benefits which keep people off the streets, they even offer free schooling to qualified individuals, so many options. I've used my health card sooo many times thinking it was a right, not realizing it was such a great privilege, 4 that i must Thank u canada !

canada sucks. $12 for a sixer of bud light, $12 for a pack of smokes, and 14% sales tax on everything.

The next question is, if it is a right, how to pay for it? Well, with my money of course. I don't have a right to my money but people have a right to health insurance, wtf ???? Bunch of no good thieves.
You cannot choose when to apply Freedom and Liberty.

He was drinking fat tire though, beats the hell out of Coors (and I'm Colorado born and raised).

blazin, I just want to make sure one thing and I'm totally fine. I actually DO AGREE with some of the things you're saying, I hope you don't think that's not the case. I'm registered independent but I've never voted in my life and at this rate never will. Unless maybe Jello Biafra wins his party's nomination or something equally interesting.

The one thing: You don't think having republicans in charge does anything whatsoever as far as "big government", do you?

Yeah the prices are not what they used to be since the Canadian Dollar has gained 40% more value due to the unlimited printing of US dollars. What does a carton of Marlboro cost in a normal Gas station in Canada?

British Columbia

Carton of 200 cigarettes

  • The manufacturers' price (as of October, 1997) is $9.69.
  • The federal excise duty is $5.50.
  • The federal excise tax is $5.36.
  • The provincial tobacco tax is $22.00.
  • The wholesale/retail margin is about 6%, or $2.56.
  • There is no provincial sales tax applied to tobacco products.
  • The federal G.S.T. adds 7%, or $3.16.
  • The total price is therefore $48.29.

How to pay for it? Restore at least some of the things that have been altered in this country's steady decline. The highest tax rate used to be 90% (NINETY PERCENT) for the wealthiest Americans. Now most probably pay their ACCOUNTANTS more than they pay in taxes, just to get them through all of the loopholes that allow them to effectively dodge taxes nearly altogether.

No one has done anything that is worth a billion dollars, and anyone that thinks they SHOULD be able to sit on a billion dollars and get a RETURN on every last penny they're sitting on should be brought up on charges of crimes against humanity. There are over a billion people on this planet that live on less than $1 a day. And it's not "their fault", I'm sorry to dash that narcissistic feelgood whatever for anyone.

Besides, you couldn't MAKE a billion dollars without a whole hell of a lot of other people. They NEED us, if the rest of us spontaneously decided to, we could render all of their money and all of their power moot in a HEARTBEAT. They would actually die without us, it's about time they started showing a little respect.

Corporations are so goddamned big now that they are effectively monopolies. Whenever someone comes up with a good idea, they have to borrow money from those people just to step in the ring to COMPETE with them. Any innovation that actually succeeds is integrated into the system by offering the innovators so goddamned much money they'd about be foolish not to accept it. After that, the innovation becomes merely another cash cow to be milked. No principles, no morals, no considerations, only money.

And back to the founding of our nation, it says in the constitution that ONLY CAPITAL GAINS ARE TO BE TAXED. Wages are NOT CAPITAL GAINS. They altered all of that and got the income tax put in place THROUGH THE 14th AMENDMENT, YOU KNOW, THE ONE THAT "FREED THE SLAVES"? Nowadays, a corporation is legally considered a human. And YOU, I mean ALL OF YOU, are legally considered corporations. That is how they can tax your income.
