To know the facts, you have to know the framework of the MMMA. Understanding how the caregiver system works, how the registration process works, etc it is all right there. As for the bona fide dr/pt relationship, the basis for certification, and how MMJ patients are prosecuted you need to understand the medical board guidelines and follow the court cases- not picking a word here and there as it suits you, but understanding the reasoning. This is my profession and what I do- my patients know that it is my job to understand these things and do them right, and every court case better defines what I have to do to keep them safe. A basic understanding of medical logic and the standard of care is also required, and I am a court recognized expert in those matters.

As for for or against you, make your own mind up about that. Is what I say unreasonable or not based in the above? What do I stand to gain by giving false or incorrect information? And the ultimate question? What makes you think I even need to be dealing with this in the first place. I have a great pain and suboxone practice, where the standard of care is clear and there is not 'grey areas'. So why even bother dealing with folks like Bloody, Joe, Mayor, and others that don't really deal with facts, don't contribute and gain their sense of importance by attacking people like me? I could just go back to an internal medicine practice that had me in the top 5% of of incomes for internal medicine within 3 years of coming out of residency (I do echos, colonoscopies, etc that are VERY high dollar income generators).

So ask yourself, why do I need an agenda other than doing the right thing for my patients and seeing certifications and cannabis re-introduced to 'standard' medicine? My 'pre-retirement' project is the primary care network I am building for those without insurance that don't want to be forced into the urgent care/er system for their health needs. Certifications in general were just a means to that end, and while I was at them I wanted to make them a respectable part of medicine.

No I am curious as to why it even is in question. A clear license, no malpractice history in 20+ years of practice, solid court wins for my patients, and sound advice that can be traced back to the source in the law and court cases do NOT raise questions as to me being a 'bad' person. The only thing that does put any shadow on my reputation is a couple of disjointed and unsupported comments traceable to specific people. I think that speaks for itself.

So yes, I am fucking serious, what would even raise the question. Obviously I a pretty decent person and a professional in good standing. Consider the source of those screaming the loudest to the contrary.
