Israel is also using white phosphorus (war crime) against palestinian civilians.

They attack western targets because we support Israel in the middle east. It's a cycle of unnecessary stupidity. What's say we stop supporting Israel (why are we supporting them anyway?), get our noses out of middle eastern foreign policy, and see what that does to the way these extremist muslims feel about us. I predict it'll help the problem somewhat, but since we've been meddling in their business for a really long time, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some sort of retaliation attempt against us or Israel, although if we had our military stateside that wouln't be much of an issue, but that also depends on accurate intel from the CIA and FBI, neither of which have a very good record for the past decade... So it's keep up the support that's breeding more enemies of American and Israeli business interests at an exponential rate every day and do not expect the attacks to stop anytime soon, or tell Israel to follow international treaties, laws, and regulations, stop giving them billions for their military, and acknowlege Hamas as the legitimate government in Palestine and maybe those guys won't have much of a reason to hate us and the rest of the western world... makes sense right?

"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves...politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves...The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country."

David Ben Gurion, quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky's Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan's "Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.

"There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population."

David Ben Gurion, quoted in The Jewish Paradox,by Nahum Goldmann, Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1978,p.99.

"Everybody is somebody's Jew.And today the Palestinians are the Jews of the Israelis."
Primo Levi 1982.

"If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"

David Ben Gurion.Quoted by Nahum Goldmann in Le Paraddoxe Juif (The Jewish Paradox), pp121.

...and was it not the pagan canaanites that originally inhabited the area, then as the Jews entered the area converting to Judaism. Also many Arabs are in fast Jewish...

I would not even begin to speculate on who owns that land.

It all sets a dangerous example.
What next? The Greeks claiming
all the Mediterranean and Egypt. Where is this all going?

This is why you can't bargain with terrorists. This is why we need to determine what a terrorist is. That is not a word to toss around and loosely define.

Makes me tired it will never end...
Sooner or later it will, but for it to end, it'd require both Israel and Hamas to actually honor the agreements that they made.

Though what I don't understand is why Hamas seems to think that Israel should be forced to allow supplies to go through Israel. Wouldn't it be possible for supplies to come from Syria?

Seems to me that despite all their outrage at what is going on in the West Bank the rest of the Arab Community is doing very little to put an end to the war. Of course, it's kind of hard to see how ending the war could be construed as being in their interests when the leader of Iran publicly states that Israel should be wiped off the map.

As far as charges that I'm grouping them all together. I fail to see how that's an issue. Looking at the last 1,300 years they have done a fair job of attacking us with out provocation.

Byzantine Empire in the beginning, and extending to modern times with the Gulf Wars and the War in Afghanistan.

Imagine, had the Taliban just handed over Osama it is very likely that Bush would never have been able to use the "War on Terror" as an excuse to invade Iraq, and we wouldn't be in Afghanistan on the verge of repeating the mistake that Russia made during the 80s.

Though the entire conflict seems like a pointless gesture on both sides.

Hamas is kidding themselves if they think Israel is going to vanish (or that they have the military strength to see that Israel does Vanish), and Israel has its hands tied by being a part of the global community. It can't just go in and ethnically cleanse the West Bank with out serious repercussions.

Not that either side is going to see that. The conflict goes beyond religion, economics and goes to being about having homes. It's a lot easier to justify killing some one when they are trying to steal your homes from you.

The entire history of the Middle East is a history of one group enslaving or warring against the other. Egypt enslaving the Israelis, the Israelis warring against the, well whatever tribes they warred against.

5,000 years of blood, hatred and rivalry. Seems that the entire region is still dancing on the strings made from what happened in the past (distant and near.)

I know and since we've run out of indians, we are now headed to distant lands to further our conquests. Problem is, we can't afford to any longer. That is what brought down all great nations, economics. We are friken broke. A smart leader would figure this out right away. Hopefully Obama won't let the despots sway him, the American despots that is.

If we, through our democratic process, voted in leaders that lobbed missiles into Canada, and Canada retaliated by attacking our infrastructure, with whom does the fault lie for the ensuing civilian deaths and the carnage on our side of the border?

what a inaccurate analogy, heres a more realistic one than your simple mind set.

Your neighborhood is being occupied by a foreign military, there raiding your homes when you try to resist, killing all your men, blockading your ports so there can be is no economical gains, you live in ghettos with no jobs, no future, checkpoints manned by foreign soliders humiliating you in front of your family............AND YOU WONDER WHY THEY FIRE HOMEMADE ROCKETS!!

Hmmph, perhaps a more interesting question, and relevant question, would be ask, "What would you do if you had been chased out of your homeland, and had been unable to return for almost 1,900 years, and when you returned there was another group of people that had made claim to it, and refused to let you inhabit your historical homeland?"
Well.. why don't all the indigenous people kick the white cunts out of their countrys? Judaism is a religion, not a race.

then why did Hamas start firing rockets first? This certainly isn't the first instance where these two have fought? Surly they knew they were out-gunned.........And yet, on no provocation whatsoever, they began lobbing rockets into Israel.

Hamas keeps its people in poverty, and uses them as a tool, so fools like you will support them and feel sorry for them. How come Israel is the only side willing to have a two state co-existence?
Wrong my friend, Hamas is mossad's bitch and was setup to counter the Arafat's PLO. Just like the taliban and the CIA, hamas have become scapegoats to further the Zionist agenda and gullible cunts like you buy into it. :leaf:

FUBAR describes the Middle East for the last 5,000 years, and Africa for the last 3,000.

Those peoples have been killing, enslaving, raping, and torturing each other for longer than China's been a nation. To think we can make them stop now is foolish.
Or so the lies in the history books would have you believe. Just like the IQ's of black people are supposedly lower than that of the whites and hence all blacks are stupid. IQ tests are based upon knowledge and are therefore impractical for measuring real intelligence. :leaf:

Agreed. Those asshats shoot rockets into Israel then call foul when they are retaliated against.
Okay, let me come into your home with a gun and tell you and your family to get the fu*k out or im going to kill you.....Now what are you going to do?Are you going to tuck your tail and run or are you going to be a man and get your land back.....You must be one of those people who voted bush into office and then bitch about what bad job he has done.
