Moving to the US

France is on my list of places I would move. 35 hour work week, 5 weeks paid vacation minimum, health care based on what you can afford, in-home help for new mothers, and doctors that come to your house? Sounds pretty nice to me. I wouldn't mind paying higher taxes if it meant better systems.

When I contemplated moving overseas a few years ago, I thought of France. From what I can remember housing wasn't that expensive. Again though, can't speak French so....

i live on a british island within touching distance of france. the language barrier is the problem.
 
It's always been a dream of ours to move to the US. i have a trade so i have something to offer but would love to no weather i would be let in with a criminal record.
Anyone know the ins and outs of the visa's and stuff.

Why? what is here that is not where your at that would cause you to want to move here?
