I'm just starting out also, so I've been running around trying to figure out what to buy. If you're going to use CFLs, you can pick up reflectors that come with the sockets and power cords from Home Depot pretty cheap. Home Depot has about three sizes of the reflectors, and the biggest one will handle some of the really big CFLs. I'm planning on doing CFL until I get to the flowering stage, and then switching over to a Blackstar LED. I'm starting off pretty small with just a couple of plants at most. I only have a very small area to grow in, so I'm trying to keep the lighting simple. At my Home Depot the reflectors were in the same area as the halogen worklights, they weren't in the regular lighting section.

okay so here is my ghetto set part 2.. lol Please let me know if they have a chance.. i just bought a clip on lamp at home depot for like 10 bucks and a CFl .. is say 120 watts equivalent 2100 lumens. idk if that was the right choice, it was one of the biggest CFL i seen.
here is how i set it up for now in my closet... mind you my closet is a cool closet temperature wise. im going to buy a few clip on fan and another lamp.. dependind on your opinion.. please dnt judge me its my first time...
i got some more potting soil also , idk if that was the right choice too its miracle grow...

Here's what little advice i can give. No nutrients for awhile. The light is fine (For now). I would get some reflective material so you don't lose light, and I would gets some fans soon. The light is the right distance from them, and the pots will do for now.

u will need some kind of grow box and more lights and fans
u cant grow a plant like u doing now

yeah i seen almost all of these videos lol read about all most every sticky on this site .. Grow box in process im in need of some more cash may be friday pay day ll get some materials to deal with this..
