Problem is, we won't be the best place to live for long if we keep all this BS up. Every country has their own version of exceptionalism. It's human nature to go to the extreme political view when they hang around others with similar views. We have a terrifyingly high chance of having a civil war in the next 30 years. It won't be anything like the last one - it'll be like Charlettesville every weekend. For some reason, many people view themselves as the lucky survivors in any armageddon. That aint going to be the case - in fact those same assholes will be among the first casualties. If shit goes down hill, we won't dig out of it for decades, maybe centuries. The economy will go to crap, unemployment through the roof. All the while, the entire rest of the world catches up. People need to start treating each other like people if they want the US to stay great.Not trying to come across like Trace Adkins or anything, but I'm just curious as to what you guys think. Having travelled a lot, I find that most of the other places in the world are, at best, "nice places to VISIT, but...".
