NooB Advice

Riddle,

Sorry about the slow response- Just figured out how to subscribe to the thread so i can find it. :)

I still need to find a humidty gauge, so I'm not sure what the humidity in the room is at currently. I've got a bucket of water in front of the fan and another sitting in the closet with them, and I have both sides of the closet door (they slide on tracks) open about 2 feet to provide ventilation and airflow (the fan blows in one side). The plants actually sit in the center of the closet with the doors hiding them from sight and reflecting the light on to them (white doors).

I was wondering, is it common for freshly transplanted clones to show some signs of shock for the first 4-5 days, particularly if they came down from the mountains and had a few thousand foot change of elevation? I transplanted in FFOF 4 days ago and they seem to be doing more or less ok, but I have a few that have had a couple leaf tips turn brown (I raised the light a few inches today), and some have a large leaf or three that's turned yellow green. Should I just be patient and give them more time to root and recover, or should I be starting to worry?

I'll see what i can do about the pics. May take a couple days while I get my hands on a digital camera though. Can you get a humidity gauge at Walmart? If so i can pick one up tomorrow (assuming I can find one-the local WalMart is a jumbled mess).

is the simple secret, cannbis is a foliage flowering plant, gardening forums,books,etc.. are alot more reliable then all the myths you here on sites like RIU. research your ass off on gardening and hortucule, and botany. dont listen to wut some pot head thinks. listen to well respected hortuclogists, scientists, etc... get past all the b.s
if you can read something, and understand it. you can grow healthy plants. just make sure what your reading is actually true.
just throwin this out there since no body else is trying to answer lol

mmmmmmmmmmmm:eyesmoke:

Hell Ya!! Im with Jumbo. The Bud Porn looks good. Lets just make sure that is the only porn that cam takes:lol:. LOL

OK if I reverse directions I am gonna have to look to the dirt for the answer. The H2O2 excited instead of killing off the beneficial bacteria which in turn allowed for the proper uptake of food causing the growth spurt?

Idk, I'm pulling at strings here riddle. I gotta say I'm stumped.

Patiently waiting,

Big

Yeah this camera is 15 megapixels but I have it set on 8 for these pics then resized them for upload, I have this program that makes the files really small without degrading the pic (Graphics Workshop)

The pics are huge before I resize em

and the camera auto focuses on them it is very cool to watch it, I just put it by the bud then push a button and it just clears up

I have had lots of cameras but this one is the shit for the price $79

what is the kelvin of the bright white?? for vegg you want mostly 6500k. and for flower you want mostly 2700k.
either will work, but will get best results with red spectrum for flower, and blue spectrum for vegg. tho u wanna have a bit of both always if possible

hi

im a total noob only had 3grows in soil and only 1 was a kinda success lol my 3 questions are, my ''success'' grow was 2 blueberry clones that yielded 13oz was that a good/bad yield from 2 blueberry clones in soil?

also my current grow room i am having problems with temp/humidity until i get some cash on monday and am able to buy another humidifier i can either have the room 85-90f, humdity 55-60 or 70-75f, humidity 30-40, there are 9 blueberry clones in the room in the early stages of veg.

and is there better soil nutes than bio-bizz? im using grow/bloom and topmax.

thanks

13 oz off of 2 clones is a very good grow what light are using?

as to your other questions the way I am teaching here the soil does not matter, and humidity ranges are mentioned in the answer commin tonight

is a 26w CFL Bright Light bulb good to use? Or should I use a Day Light CFL bulb?
Jumbo gave you the right answer , daylight is best, either will work, mixed spectrum is best overall

beauty of taking the class and doing the research is you more easily see the answers to others questions :bigjoint:

you your self is mother nature to your plants.....you get a derict responce to how you treat you plants.....if you create poor conditions, you get poor plants like mine..... if you create *optimal* conditions" ie; learning the exact needs of your plants < from strain to strain> that gets the most benifit and also at the same time lewarning what harms your plant making the balance better then mother nature " your own little paradise" and getting the best out of everything.....

i herd that you can use diluted coffe water to help veg growth and coffe is used in SEVERAL composts.....what you think.....

my babies got new 2 gal pot today.....now i dont got enough room i need to start weeding some out ( Id hate to trash the only female.....) whats up when knowing the sex???? can i make them show sex by going to 12/12 just till they show?and then put them back into veg?

so switch the lights to 12/12 untill they show....how long do you think this takes... do i need to watch closely and go back to veg as soon as possible... plusss they are very whilty and discolored( i think from nute burn< i have stopped using by the way its been 2 waterings since the burn>) should I wait till they perk up for 12/12 theve been drewy for a while now ( 2-3 days):bigjoint:

thanks for helpingi got to get the # down... I know from experience... you can pluck out the runt (before knowing sex) and throw it outside... thinking you got all fems inside.... and a month later all you got is males in your closet and you look at the fence line of females that you threw away...(pollen creates HEADACHES) haha:bigjoint:

yes john, if you switch the lights to 12/12 to sex them pay very close attention. a set of male pollen sacks can show up and mature very quickly. some may sex quicker/slower then the rest but it should only take 5days-close to 2 weeks to show sex depending on strain and conditions and such. then when they have all sexed, throw them back into veg and weed out the males. as for you nute burn problems, i would post pics so we can help debunk if that is in fact the [problem at hand. and if it is, then it could be as easy to fix as givin your babies a little flush. this will remove all nutes from the soil so you can basically start from scratch. hope this info helps out.
