I have done multiple defensive handgun classes at FrontSight. Won every shooting competition with a standard Glock 22. I also have a Glock 17, but I prefer the .40 caliber.
I found out if you try to have a conversation with him you end up spending too much time defending yourself against his vile hatred and lies and not really doing anything else. I've learned that if people here still believe what he says, they are generally not the type of people you can have an intelligent honest debate with anyway.
The efficacy of your shooting aside, 9mm is a better choice for combat situations 9 times out of 10. As someone who has experience, I am always going to choose quantity over caliber.
I don't like the 9 mm because of over penetration. I want to limit the possibility of hurting an innocent bystander. Besides, the .40 cal is very effective. Seventeen rounds for Glock 17, versus 15 rounds for the model 22. That is a pretty close match.
