I get that view. But I much prefer my right to privacy, including while I'm in public. I like the fact that I can carry with a t-shirt and shorts, and not a single person would know. And on the off chance some dumbshit tries to commit a crime, I will be able to protect people who are unable to protect themselves.
There is an added positive effect too, while driving. It tames my road rage, knowing that I'm packing is enough for me to not rage on dipshit drivers.

I'm a pretty good shot. I've been putting quarter sized holes in paper at 15 feet with my Sig 1911 45 pretty consistently. I usually use qualifying targets or police targets.

I did stupid shit does not mean I shit on floors at public eateries. I also realized how socially fuck-ed up it is to shit on floors of places where the public eats before I hit the age of 4. Wondering about the mental state of a 30 year old who still thinks is just awesome is not the least bit hypocritical. I stopped wiping boogers on my shirt in 1st grade, if I saw a man in his 30's doing it I'd wonder there too.

No, that's not what that is saying. It's saying, as a relative percentage, 49% of blacks are arrested and charged with murder, while 48% of whites are. It's not relative to each other, it's relative as a percentage of total black people, and white people, respectively.

Actually. You are right. The chart I showed is not relative to individual races, it is distribution among the total. Therefore it is not taking into account percentage population by race. In which case, saying that blacks are 4 times more likely to commit a violent crime is accurate.

Sorry, but you are wrong. The data you posted says that blacks were arrested for 49% of the murders that were committed in that year. Assuming they weren't falsely arrested, that means they committed 49% of the murders in that year. When 12% of the population commits 49% of the murders, they are over represented relative to their general population by a little more than 4 times. Likewise, whites are under represented relative to their general population.
