Pablo's Socal Balcony Grow

Looking good man. I've always wanted to grow that Diesel Ryder. I remember when it came out and everyone snatched it up and it was out of stock for a long time. How's it smel? The description says it's a very strong odor and a pretty strong buzz. The Kandy's looking good. How's she smell, sweet? Cheers man.
Thanks Big. The Diesel is very pungent, almost to the point of burning the nostrils when trimming it. I'm never sure now to describe the smell of these plants, tho. The Kush does have a very nice, sweet aroma. Cheers.

I had the same exact stuff on my outdoor indica pablo, I think it was mold, because the buds themselves did not look affected by the worms. Lately it has been so humid here, that with the additonal BT sprayings, the plant never got to completey dry out, causing the mold to grow. She was so compact that the moisture just sat there day in and day out, causing the mold. I ended up chopping off all affected areas, plus any surrounding foliage/buds.
That is probably what I've going on, thanks for the input. I'll go ahead and chop off the affected buds and see if I can salvage any part of them.

I quick dried enough of the Kush to fill a bowl yesterday. Just some from one of the affected buds that was cleaned up. This might be the strongest pot I've ever smoked. I had 3 hits, which wasn't the full bowl. Within 5 minutes I was thinking that 2 hits would have been just fine. I was wrecked.

Thats awesome bro, so would you say the KK is the most potent of all the rest you already harvested?

Yes, not even close. I can't imagine any autoflower coming close to the potency of this stuff. When this stuff finishes it will most likely be a 1 hitter for my purposes. This is gonna be some fun weed :)

I removed the damaged bud, trimmed out any remaining mold/damage. Not too much loss because I previously removed most of the damage while it was still on the plant. I just placed the buds in a paper bag because there's nothing to grab onto so they will hang on a line.

Word! Those look like some tasty nugs. How many more weeks do you think till you chop completely?

Hey man, I'm not entirely sure. I was thinking about just watching until she looks done, then chop. This is definitely a strain where I will be harvesting some portions earlier than others. The lower buds are not nearly as mature and will definitely go longer.

But for the most mature buds to be chopped: Maybe 2 more weeks? I think that would be fairly close to the 8 - 9 week flowering time suggested by the breeder. Any thoughts?

bummer about the mold Pablo, thats annoying, but it's good you caught it before it took your entire crop. That nug looks really tasty - and I'm SURE you'll notice a difference between that and the autoflowers.
Haha it's too bad me giving you rep doesn't help with that mold problem:)

Id say she looks pretty good, have you started flushing yet? If not then yeah, i would flush and water with just water and molasses for the next two weeks. And see how she looks then.

Yeah, I usually cut out all nutes a couple of weeks prior to harvest. Now might be a good time for that. I watered yesterday with water and molasses. I'm not a full convert of the flushing theory, but I have tried it before. Pics from this evening.

Hey Weedoozie, thank so much. Not sure why really. I planted in May. I usually don't get sun on my plants until around 10am or so, even later, because of the balcony setup. It has been sunny lately in SoCal. But, overall an uncommonly cool summer this year. Still plenty of time for some heat waves. We're still in the fire season in CA.
Should be some hot Santa Anna's kicking in if history repeats itself.

Yep she def. has a few weeks to go. You want her looking like shes pulled everything outta them pretty green leaves. I remember my big plant, what a bitch to wait for. It was well worth it though. That Kandy will still blow up if you let her. Cheers man.

Hey Big, that's an awesome plant! My leaves were mostly yellow at this stage last year. This year, I used the Fox Farms schedule, maybe a bit late in the season, but still did the 2 doses of nutes which included the Grow Big during flowering. I think that has kept my leaves a bit greener than necessary, but there's nothing wrong with green leaves. Maybe those are what will help these buds swell over the next 3 weeks. Thanks for looking out.

I agree with you about the leaves, during the flush the plant should be looking pretty tired though. I just want to see them buds swell, because they don't look like they have yet. I know you know what you're doing, and I'm excited for you. You're gonna have a big bag of Kandy!

This will be the first regular plant I've grown to completion, so this stage is relatively new to me. Last years bagseed plant was already chopped before the buds got this big because of the worm damage. I'll take any and all advice I can get. Good to hear that the buds still have some swelling to do. Cheers.

Net her and keep her going as long as possible/until you see that lovely golden sheen
