Happy 420!

I toked early, went to start my bath and my son had to go potty first. I came and sat down on the bed and completely forgot my bath water!!! Ran the tub over slicker than shit. Shaking head. From now on I'll wait to get IN the tub before I smoke.

lol!!! sounds like one of my tricks!

Glad I'm not alone! lol I've never done that in my life! water was going down in my duct work in the bathroom! How do I get that out of there?! Sheesh.

I don't have one anymore. I don't know how much got in there but I do know they have the duct work wrapped and the underside of my house is hella insulated. I do not like dealing with this stuff. Thought I had it covered, being married for 20 years. The butthead. lol

Just wanted to show all you don't see in most of the photos (because it's not pretty). The table lamp is the one I used to sit under hoping it would chase away the blues. I'm not sure if it ever worked or if I just got over what was bugging me. lol I've been sharing that lamp with A and B for a few days now. Today I ran across the other light in a drawer and decided to use it for A and the other for B since B is so big it needs the wider light. The osculating fan I just added today because I wanted the paint to dry faster. But then I saw how happy my girls were and now it's gonna stay.


I also got some small clamps so I don't have to have my wash rags touching the dirt, that way they stay cleaner.

I work 10 hour days during the week, have to be in bed by 7:00 Sunday through Thursday so I'm bugging out pretty soon. I'll be updating if there's anything to show. For now, I'm just letting the girls grow.

the fan will really help stregthen the plants and help with pest control! that is a good additiong! This thing is shapping up quite nicley!!! You have me trying to think of ultra cheap ways to add to your grow!! Would love to see some serious dank come from a ghetto budget!!

Update 8/18/08

Just 24 hours ago, Plant A was 8” tall (she’s now 8 ½” tall) and Plant B was 9 ¾” tall (she’s now 11 ½” tall). I’m stumped as to why Plant B is growing so much faster than Plant A. Today I had to raise the light to prevent it from burning Plant B and I had to place Plant A back up on a pedestal to help it get enough light.

The good news is that Plant A is budding out all over the place now. No longer do I believe that she’s just going to be a corndog looking cola. There are probably 8-10 little buds forming.

Plant B is also looking like she will develop buds pretty soon. She has lots of branches and the very beginnings of buds. It’s all getting very exciting now. J I will start the apple juice feedings next weekend as it will be the 3rd week of flowering which is what Juiceman (as he’s known in some circles) recommends. (At least I think that’s what he’s said, I’m not able to get on the site to reread his PM.) I like the theory though and have decided it’s one I’d like to try. Maybe I’ll just do it on one plant, will ask S&R what he wants me to do with Plant A since it’s his decision and he’s undecided at this point. I do know that I want to look for some organic, unsweetened juice to use on my plant.

I don’t know when I’ll be able to post this update as it appears the site is down right now, might have to wait until tomorrow evening, in which case I’ll post two updates at once. This one won’t have any pictures but I’ll take some tomorrow since there will be more to show then. I only have 4 hours from the time I get home until I have to be in bed at night (and I have to eat and get ready for work the next day, take care of my plants and watch my soap in that amount of time lol) so I can’t spend a lot of time on updates Monday through Wednesday. I make up for it on weekends though.





Update 8/19/08

This has got to be the most exciting stage of the grow so far. Working 10 hour days has its advantages in that when I get home, I can see the changes that have taken place while I’ve been away.

Plant A didn’t grow in height today but there is a lot of budding action going on, a lot of THC production. This plant remains at 8 ½” tall.

Plant B continues to get taller and is also starting to form little buds. I am thinking Plant B may be a week to 10 days behind Plant A when it comes time to harvest. Hopefully that won’t happen, but it’s obvious right now that it could happen that way. Plant B grew one inch measuring in at 12 ½” tall.

Looks great!!! I wouldnt worry to much about the plants growing a lil deffrently.. same genetics doesnt mean twins.. they look great!! I think you are well on your way to proving a ghetto cab grow can work well!!

Hey! Watch it! This is not a ghetto grow, it's a powhitetrash grow. hehe You're messing up my theme. lol

I'm glad you all think they are looking good. It's hard to know for sure what all I'm doing right and/or wrong. My son was reading up on nutrition and said we need to lay off the nitrogen and concentrate on potassium and phosphorus. Given that this IS a powhitetrash grow (for real), I am wondering what I might have around the house that could provide these elements to save me from having to sell something to buy them? If anyone has ideas, I'd like to hear them.

I can't wait to start the apple juice thing. I wonder if it effects the smell too?

On the nute side of things, that would be something I would look to tetra and db for on that one.. and my apologies on the ghetto!! lol Ill keep with the whitetrash theme for now!!

I'm sure someone will know the answer to the nutrition question. Always seems to be someone who knows more than me around who's willing to share what they know. It's all good.

Sure am enjoying this grow. I have something to come home to for the first time since the ex left. lol

Maybe you can plant a bug in his ear when you bump into him. I wish I had more time to sift through all this stuff. Can't keep up with too many threads but I try to check it out on weekends.

yea it can be a lot to keep up with these journals!! Im scribed to way to many.. find my self with war and peace if I miss a day or two here... Ill see if I cant detour tet into the room...

IDK, what you could sub with ? Maybe DB knows.
You can get P and K from pH down(phosphoric acid) and pH up (potassium hydroxide)
But I don't think that is going to help you much.
