The 6500 works great! I'm stoked to be able to compare the 6500 to the HLG 650r that I just won. I've only ever used LED bar lights, so it's going to be fun to test out the new light.
I’d love to see that comparison as I’m currently using an HLG 350r plus a Crecer lighting panthrx mini to cover a 4x4 to 5x5 space that’s a walk in closet I sealed and also converted to a grow space, but considering upgrading to a mars with a bigger footprint like your FC 6500 or even a FC E 6500, instead of the two smaller lights, and I might use my current two lights for other experiments once I upgrade

Awesome Jeff!
Loved catching up with your journal! Such good information, thanks! @Jeffislovinlife C99 are an S-2 from Female Seeds. The S-1's they came from split about evenly with a pineapple pheno and a mango pheno. I had such gastric distress from it I haven't run it since but I should refresh the run as the seeds are getting older now. I have some Mosca C-99 I'd like to run too. We are lucky to be living in a time with such a wide variety of seeds easily available.

I wish I could find some of the old mexi-brick weed seeds.

The seed banks you are dealing with do they have an old school section ?
Most of the old school stuff I buy direct from AKBB and Fleur Du Mal (they have a website). Hazeman has some good stuff too. I also have a bunch of stuff from CSI Humboldt-I like their Pirates of the Emerald Triangle label, some good heirloom strains and CSI has Chem and OG S1s that I like. I think in my collection, the breeder I own the most seeds from is AKBB, and I have a list of stuff that I still want to buy from him. I'll grow out his Sensi Star f4's next time. The problem is, I also want to pop his beatrix choice, Deathstar bx, Hawaiian Cat Piss, Big Fuck x NL1, Black Domina....and many others. Next time I order from him I plan on getting his 907 Blue Genes (blueberry terps), PHK, and Dope Beard Durban. I also want to keep expanding my landrace seed collection too though...there are so many awesome landrace seeds on strainly, but most of those are shipping from overseas.

The irony is so strong, how we have such access to all these different strains but now we want some historical stash seeds! I wish one of my relatives had a good stash from the 70s or 80s!

I did have a quick question about your pollinating cabinet there are you putting filters on your little vents to keep the pollen in?
No, but that's a good idea. My plan was just to close them up when the pollen sacks are close, but that's a little dangerous. I bet I could just tape some paper over top of them when it's a little further along.

I have cut the male branches off and put them in a cup of water inside a paper grocery bag to finish puffing smoke before I had a separate area ;D Then just brought in a female or two and grabbed a branch and shook it all through her/them.

I'm just hoping I get that far, I want some pollen! Strawberry Cough S1s would be so cool. I really want to experiment with different ways to manage pollen within a single room-I've got lots of paper bags and clear plastic bags for isolating plants or single branches. It's going to be fun, I can't wait until I have females with each cola pollinated by a different male. In the past I only did open pollination outdoors.

Yeah, I grew FDM C99 a long time ago, I think they were F2s. They were everything I wanted from C99. They were really good yielding plants as well, very strong, good vibes sativa. And the pineapple pheno tastes so great! All of those seeds would be cool, I have some GG4 Ril seeds from Tony Green that I'd like to run "soon" too. And I have Panama Red on pre-order from Snow High right now. You have excellent taste in weed Jeff-I think you'd have fun growing any of those, and I'll probably grow the GG4 and Panama Red next year!
Im curious if you have ever ran the C99's from Brothers Grimm? Wasn't Mr Soul the guy that bred the original C99? I have some of them in my collection and with your run and @Jeffslovinlife thinking of running C99's I thought maybe its time.
Cant wait to see you run that Panama red. Mine is in week 11 and still has lots of white pistils and clear trichs! I have a feeling its gonna be several more weeks of trying to be patient. In the meantime the Killer A5 Haze is getting big. Im gonna have to come up with a "plan B" for a place to continue its grow.

Right now I'm doing everything I can to keep pollen out of my room from my neighbor for some strange reason I guess he believes he can grow outside his house16617028547931496165011.jpgbut I think what you and others are doing is awesome and once again I've just got to say thanks for the opportunity to be able to share in your Journey

Yes, Mr Soul is behind the C99 and was gone for a long time, but came back with the new Bros Grimm a few years back I think. I have no idea how the new version of C99 stacks up to the old lines of it, I haven't seen any of his new stuff grown out yet, but I'd love to see them sometime. I'll check through the C99 thread on ICmag to see if anyone posted pics there. I just got my Sweet Tooth #4 in the mail from FDM, but they're going to have to wait until next time-it's a wonderful strain, I think it was actually cubed the same way that C99 was, but it's from Breeder Steve originally. It started out as the Sweet Pink Grapefruit clone from Vancouver.

Oh gosh, that Killer A5 could get massive, well, any of them with tropical sativa lineage can, but that Malawi can be a monster plant. I can't wait for your smoke report on that one! It's cool that we all have the Panama too, haha.
