Thanks Ron! I'm pretty stoked, and I like how you can attach a UV bar directly to it. I've never figured out a way to mount UV fluorescents with bar lights, though they work good next to HID. New lights are so much fun to grow under. The Diablo's are very sweet!Congrats on the win! I was hoping to get a Diablo, but maybe next time.

I was staring at my seedlings but my brain wasn't really kicking in, I was thinking "something is wrong with this picture"...then after a min I focused on the 3 leaves and was like "ahhhh, that's it!" It has been a while since I had one of these and that one grew out of it after a few nodes. I hope this one stays whorled.That is very cool

I've seen some cool pics of these on different forums over the years, and sometimes they do make really nice plants, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it and hopefully, its offspring too!

I've been reading up on the various Indian cannabis varieties that are available-we have access to so much right now, with all of the many India based landrace collectors, like the Indian Landrace exchange, Landrace Mafia, and Coco genes, among others. Coco genes is a more recent discovery for me, but they have some incredible stuff! Khalifa Genetics acquired their Kerala Chellakutti from the Cogo-genes collective. You can see some of their strains on Strainly (All of them are on Instagram too, I really should make an account and join modern society) and I'd like to try ordering from them once I build back up some discretionary seed $$$. That Kerala Chellakutti is a very interesting strain, supposedly very psychoactive...but it also is one of the longest bloomers, so not super practical unless I want to take on a major breeding project. I purchased a pack of Sheelavathi seeds from ILE last year on sale, and I just saw that they had rewritten their article on it, and it's quite interesting! https://www.indianlandraceexchange.com/indianlandraceexchange/sheelavathi/
So I'm definitely going to collect more Indian Landrace sativas this year, but I think I'll start first by growing out a few of the Sheelavathi seeds next cycle, alongside the Chocolate Thai F4s from Hazeman. Sheelavathi is supposed to be as trippy as Kerala, but done in 14-16 weeks, vs 20-25 for Kerala. I'll also get some Orissa, either from Coco-genes or Landrace Mafia.
I feel like not much good Sativa breeding is being done nowadays, vs 20+ years ago in the USA. The industry is so focused on bag appeal and THC% that we've lost out on the quality of high and terpenes in general. So many of today's popular crosses either aren't terpy, or they are terpy, but it's the same old common "dispensary terps." It's definitely time to grow some Kerala or Orissa gold, but I'll give the Sheelavathi a try first to see why it has become so popular within India-I'm looking forward to experiencing those unique terpenes too. It's sort of like when you go on vacation and try some weird fruit for the first time-like when I tried durian for the first time, I was thinking "WOW, what the hell is this flavor I'm experiencing, does not compute!" (it tastes like sweet gasoline)

Panama Red is one of the all time best out there! I have spoken with Snow High about the medical benefits of PR, and he finds it to be one of the best out there for a wide range of issues because it has such a wide variety of cannabinoids. I have a pack on pre-order from him right now, hopefully they are coming along nicely. One of the nicest guy I know on here gifted me these at the time I had been looking for them for a very long time and in saying that I've only been on the inweb for two years now wow time flies by when you are having fun lol
Hey, you might want to check out this sale. I checked out their site due to @FirstCavApache talking about the Purist Indica seeds and made my order. I got the Purist Indica, Original Skunk #1 IBL and the Northern Lights #2 IBL. (I had already ordered the PI and when I went back I saw the sale) One $100 pack free! Im a big fan of Northern Lights and I'm currently enjoying the NL#5 I harvested a while back. Its definitely a night time smoke for me. I don't recall trying the NL2 so Looking forward to that!
Speaking of Panama (above), I had to chop mine early due to bud rot. I found 2 buds with it. Some folks said toss the whole plant but after chopping and going through each cola, bud by bud I didnt find anymore so Ive got the good looking stuff hanging to dry. Most of the lower buds look done but the upper colas still had some white pistils and clear trichs. (a lot of cloudy/amber also)
I'll let it dry and cure and then decide if I will keep it. Total it went 76 days after flip. Ace says 9-12 weeks so Im right in the middle of their forecast.
I know you are making plans on the India seeds but hey, its hard to pass up a deal!

Thanks for the tip, I actually also love the various NL #s and have so many of them from AKBB and one NL5 S1 pack from CSI. I'll dip into them at some point when I'm looking at Indicas again, right now I'm definitely Sativa focused. I have a good quantity of Afghan seeds stashed away for the future too-The Real Seed Company Afghan mix is a good deal to stash some good genetics away for the future.
Too bad about the Panama! It happens...some individual plants can be more susceptible to fungal pathogens. Sometimes you can grow the same plant again and it's fine. When I get bud rot, I go back over my grow and make sure I have enough airflow in the canopy, make sure my RH is under 50% during flower, and make sure I'm doing weekly IPM during veg. That's about all you can do in a home grow. A lot just comes down to genetics.
