Sarah Palin resigning as Govorner of Alaska

I doubt she'll run for office again anytime soon.

The media tore her a shiny new asshole, you betcha! I don't think we'll be hearing from her again for a while, if ever.

Wouldn't be necessary for her to resign so she can run for a Senate seat. She wouldn't have to resign unless she actually won the seat, so I don't think that's the reason.

Yeah if she were running for the Senate she would not have to resign as Governor unless she won. I wonder if the current administration had anything to do with this?

Good day. Sarah is finally gone. She claims she wants to spend time with her kids which I believe is an absolute lie. People also believe she will run for president in 2012. I know the world will end in 2012 if Palin is president.

I believe something is going on with her. Leaving half term with some bogus excuses.....

Very suspicious indeed. I don't believe that the current admin. caused her to leave by use of negative media. She's far too hard-headed and outspoken to be ousted like that. And the lady ran for Vice President, but suddenly relinquishes her title as governor to spend time with the kids? Somethings up.

I wonder if a scandal surfaces Fox News will report it, or if they'll put the trademark "D" next to her name. I'd shit my pants if that happened.

Republican strategist and CNN contributor Ed Rollins said, to a certain extent, Palin's announcement makes her look "terribly inept."

LOL at Rob.
I doubt there is any big scandal or anything.
I bet some Neo-Con prick's got her believing she can beat Obama next election.
She doesn't seem like a bad sort really,
Just without a clue to how D.C. works IMO.
That could be a good thing barring a Ron Paul run
A Mr. Smith goes to Washington scenario could be good to.

Maybe someone needed her to make a tough decision and then she realized how incompetent she is and threw in the towel.

She'd be fine for hollywood squares or something though where stupid answers just bring laughs and better ratings.

OK, I'll bite.

Sarah Palin is the most highly thought of Republican among the conservative base. She has a very devout following.

There are a couple of reasons I can think of for her resignation:

1. Because of defending herself against the 15 phony ethics charges ... and she beat every one of them in court ... she and her husband is about $700,000 in debt. She needs to make money to pay off the debt and the salary as governor isn't cutting the mustard.

2. Because she has such a vast following among the conservative base, she sees herself as more effective working in the lower 48. She has written a book, so watch for a book tour and interviews on all the Sunday talk shows.

The above is just my guesses. But here's what I DO know about Sarah Palin: She is founded on ROCK. She feels very comfortable in her own shoes and with her political views.

The Left can't take issue with any of her political positions, so as usual, they resort to personal attacks and the politics of destruction. For proof, just look at the various Palin threads in this forum. The lefties sound like a bunch of junior high school idiots.

Here's another thing I know about people like Sarah and Todd Palin: Under rate them at your own risk.

So now Todd Palin is a genius politician as well? He was her major advisor when she was embarrassing herself on national television. She refused advice from anyone who knew what they were talking about. Some might admire this cavalier nature, but she is NOT intelligent.

And honestly, I am highly biased against her because I can't wrap my mind around the idea that the Bible should be taken literally, which is her guiding life tenet. How can anyone possibly believe that the Bible translates literally into our everyday lives. It sets an impossible and irreconcilable standard.
