that tube i use takes silicone very well (razer blade off) & it's only a small dab to hold a fan wire not a driver or pwr cord
one of the Vid's someone else uses hot glue till the silicone sets as well iirc

sure ok i just removed silicon off 2 60cm heatsinks last week, not lil dabs though the whole thing as it was an led i had built waterproof

the razor scratched the sink, a plastic card worked better, i had to sand it all down to get it clean

mine is not the standard tubing it's 80/20 shit & my sinks (cpu coolers ) do not need attaching wire to
it is anodized tubing & has a coating on that as well
silicone doesn't stick that well to it as the why of not for large wires
