SoG Grow Room Discussion

looks like it might be a mag deficiency?

Mg can get locked-up by too much Ca, Cl, or ammonium nitrogen. but don't overdo Mg or you'll lock up other nutrients.

if your nutes are designed for R/O water, or any of them are high in calcium, than the 5ml per gallon is probably too much... To me it looks and sounds like the cal. is locking out the mag...

this is when having cal. and mag. broke down into in 2 different bottles is nice, because cal/mag products also have iron, sulfur, and nitrogen, and sometimes you just want the mag or you just want the calcium.

keep your ph low! and i personally would lower my EC if i were you... it seems like 3.0 would be a better EC for like week 5, imo.

and im guessing you have some other micro nutrient getting locked out as well because your old growth is almost too dark and your new growth is kinda pale... this is usually a micro lock out of some sort. or the tops are just getting sun bleached.

idk, i could be wrong.

really, you dont need to know very much about nutrients (but it is helpful) if you have a good nutreint line and just stick to the chart, maybe even feed a little less than the chart says for the first cycle...
I know if you have H&G or Canna and you stick to the chart than you will do well.

the only time you should stray away from the feeding chart is when you really know exactly what your doing, or you need to add calcium to your water source.

almost every problem ive had, has been due to my water source or from me straying away from the chart.
but i also have had some great results mixing products and breaking all the rules but sooner or later, you take it too far and it bites you in the ass.

Thanks guys, every lil input helps
i think ill top off my res with just plain tap water from here on; after dosing with RO first day
going to top them off with plain water, and remove all the popcorn from the bottom
i was wondering about their drinking rate
they went through almost half the res in three days (14 gallon), is that normal?
well my bigger site did, the other res rate was a gallon in three days

Something I am sure you already know.
But with tap water you want to Aererate out the chlorine before mixing in nute's.
That's sound's like O.k water consuption to me.
it disapates and get's used by the plant's.

P.S. I still go back and drool over the picture's of everything all boxed up.LMAO

i do it all the time, when my moms are screwed up due to me being retarded. but i pull em when they are still in early flower up to week 3-4. and i dont have to wait any extra time for them to switch back to vegg mode. any longer in flower and i think it would take too long to root.
so yes, you can do it no problem.

I read a thread on another growing site about using flowering plants for cloning, and not keeping a mother.

I think he was saying as long as you take cuttings within the first 2-3 weeks of flower and put them into 18/6 until rooted everything works out fine.

I'll let you know how it works out when I try it in about 16 days!

i've taken the cuts already
got them sitting in a cup for now; with clonex
they were only 3 days into flowering, somewhat still in transition
i'v e put them back to 24 on with moms and GC clones, no sleepy time
