I agree that the heat exchanger idea is not the simplest to implement...
But when you consider that you may be able to reduce the AC usage by running a small water pump, one must stop and ponder...
SOG those AC units are about 1k watts each right? I imagine the less they run, the happier you will be...
And a sealed would greatly benefit from this technology...
I think...lol..
forget the pool, you guys are not looking at it right; it is simple!
been brain storming this idea for couple hours,
the more i think of it, it seems very logical and the best solution by far!
here is what I'm thinking of-
a construction similar to the DIY redneck pool heater
I'm only talking about the manifold cooper portion of it
built a simple 12" tube from a 24" square sheet of metal
plant this in the middle rivet and seal the seem,
with in and out for the water circulation sticking out of the tube,
tap the ends into a chiller and a res setup with a pump
install the monster inline on the main exhaust line,
exhausting directly into the attic!
this can potentially reduce my attics temp dramatically,
and help keeping the house cooler in the summer
and as an added value, the heat exchanger can be turned off during the winter
to help with heating the house
