They'll just die on their own. I've had a few do that, didn't notice them until they were brown. I just pull them off when they are like that too.
Really on any plant (not just pot but anything, trees even) you should remove dead parts.

So basically, the nutes that would've been wasted on the decrepit leaves will now go to other areas of the plant.

yeah plants go through that sort of thing in the wild so there well adapted to heal and grow on some times the dead spot uses more energy trying to repair than its worth...and good eye on the post numbers and good job keeping up on your grow looks like it's going well and judging from your concern you'll do well growing.....

I just drop my dead leaves down on the dirt in the pot. Let them decay and feed the plant. That's how composting works in nature so that good enough for me.

Yeah I feel you too wouldn't mind some sun and sand but this time of year sucks down there to many hurricanes 
hard to pull an outdoor crop down there wind and sandy soil...hmmm...sounds like my plants gonna end up in someone elses front yard been there done that didn't like it....Tampa is a cool spot to hang I've lived in weaker towns....good luck with your grow I'll keep an eye out. just remember being patient and watching them grow is the hardest part of this whole thing...grow on I'll smoke a fatty for ya

I just found out that we have a water softener, and apparently it's a "brine" system. I've been getting my water out of the refrigerator (so it's filtered, too), and I was wondering if the fact that it's soft water could adversely affect the plant.
No worries, though...from now on I'm bringing "reverse osmosis" water back from work when I need it.

dude im telling you add around 50ml of hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water and youll be able to tell the difference

I've been using it on my plant that is in flower. It's supposed to give the roots a boost. I can't say if it's made any difference since I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I don't think it's hurt anything either.
