Hey @FrozenChozen i hate to say this but I'm gonna have to step out on this round I just have to much going on and not enough time to watch over little cups I'm way to busy with my other grows and trying to start my business I'll be watching from the sidelines tho and if things settle down I'll get on board with the next one for sure. I want to weed out the wannabes, and get everyone's finish time closer together. It also kinda prevents the ability for veg time... Hope its not a problem for ya PSU....
Sorry I was unclear, I want a germination post AND a Sprout post... Hopefully less than a week apart.
Way to pay attention to detail! You're right, its supposed to have 8 hairs... LOL!

Correct. Recently there have been concerns brought to my attention that I feel will be alleviated breaking the "initial post" into 2 SEPERATE POSTS....
Hopefully everyone will be ok with this last minute change up. I did feel that it was necessary to make this change to help keep the spirit of this "growing" competition alive. There's prizes that are up for grabs! I want EVERYONE to remain honest and have an equal shot!
First timers and Veterans alike, what I truly believe is, it really comes down to how well the Phenotype gods bless you, and how well you feed and care for her!
All of that BS aside...
Let's see how you germinate, and how it weighs against others... Personally I use a vertical paper towel style germination, and let gravity direct the tap root down....

I popped some seeds several weeks ago (not for this competition) just to get some plants going and up potted for bigger grow, im wishing i would have saved the strawberry lime plant seeds, this thing has three or four mains growing tightly together as the main apical. As if it was topped... man it could be good one, would have made a nice plant for the comp.

Hell I am going to make a germination post and hope I get it all correct.
First we have the five contestants.
1. Cherry Wine
2. Bio-d x off grid kush
3. Black Dynamite f2
4. Cherry Pie x (Cherry Pie kush x Greatful Breath)
5. Purple GSCX Animal Cookies
The first 4 seeds will be in Happy Frog soil mixed with perlite.
The last seed will be in a mini dwc system.
All plants will be fed fox farm nutrients and cal mag as needed. They will live under @225 watts of DIY cob Vero 29s on a12/12 lighting schedule.
Here are the seeds.
Here are the seeds in their final destinations along with a nice hand drawn wends
I will put the sprouted date on the cups as they pop up. If I have forgot something let me know.

Well its time to get this started. Im going to try a dwc plant and ive only done dwc once half a decade ago so this might be the first of a couple germination posts if this one doesnt make it. I built an simple but elaborate contained setup for only one plant, so im only doing one and if it dies because im out of my element, well ill try to get another one going before i run outta time

Nutrients used: canna substra, botanicare calmag, humbolt magnum
Light source: de 1k hps
Media used: growstone hydroponic substrate
