The Tea Party Downgrade

i base my self-esteem on how much weight i can lift at one time.

i am also a walking cliche who takes shirtless flex pose pictures of myself in front of the bathroom mirror
I was with you up until the 2nd half UB. My clients compete in competition and "pose" in mirrors and in front of others asking for "critiquing". Some laugh at all the "potheads" and I tell them I grow and they have no answer to that...Are you and LF of the same genre that laughs at "muscleheads". If that's the case, you two are no better than my colleagues that thing smoking pot is a waste. I'm sure you won't get the correlation, but that's the way I see it.

Quite frankly, if I had to choose, I'd choose my lifestyle over yours. Let's you and I run 20 miles with 40lbs on our backs and at the end, buck and split 8 cords of wood and see who finishes first, OK? My money is on me. Don't be too quick to dismiss those who do not necessarily embrace your paradigm my friend. I don't smoke pot, but I undertand it...Can you say the same? Your post tells me otherwise.

OK LF. I must be mistaken when I read those threads years ago. Yeah, these "circles" can be interesting. One of my circles believes that anyone who can't bench 300lbs needs to turn in their Man Card...LOL!

I don't hold much credence in..."circles", but I don't buy in to Status Quo and what "my circle" believes.
Sorry you didn't get the answer you liked...I try to keep my circle with positive people who are trying to achieve things in life. so we don't judge a mans worth on how much he can lift..unless he is being uplifting in mind..nor "I hope my President will let us get high"...hell I'm already getting high ....I used to lift weights once....Now I ask why do I need to..and just do more swimming, jogging or golfing...but I do like saying get your weight up..but that is more to do with wealth...

I had a feeling that you'd miss it. When folks post pics of their "buds"...tell me UB...do you find it hilarious?
i would make fun of a bud that took a picture of itself in front of the mirror to show off how trichy it was.

terms i might use would include (but not be limited to): douche, walking cliche, jabrone or guido.

And what of a man and/or woman who uses their body as their livelihood? Arnold? Ferrigno? I will tell you that they work their asses off to attain the levels we see on stage. I could never reach the levels of dedication and perseverance that it takes to compete at that level. You cannot even begin to imagine. I am relegated to helping them attain that, but I cannot get there. I admire those people as I admire the folks that pride themselves and produce superior pot. I'm not getting that you can wrap your mind around that other than to ridicule those who do not align themselves with your lifestyle. Enjoy your beer my friend...I have wood to split. ;)

does arnold take pictures of himself, post them to facebook, and tell everyone to stare at his awesome biceps?

or do other people take pictures of him?

there is a big difference. have fun slapping your wood around.

Yes he did in fact. But it was before FB. Many did in many publications and trade rags. I was heavily into bodybuilding then and I can attest to that. Of course they want people to stare at them....they're proud of what they've done...That's why they're up on stage. You really don't get it, do you? They're bodies are their livelihood. They want people to see them and critique them. You are mixing up people who are serious about fitness with people who post on FB to score. If you lump them in to one group, then you have to lump all the pot growers in to one group as well, yes? That is if you want to make an accurate analogy, yes?

Arnold also liked the "roids" . And he liked lifting better than sex (sorry, the endorphin high), it is not liked he worked his ass off all the time. =)

Proven fact roids = less working your ass off.

honestly, i fond this guy obsessively posting about is harvest (which is average) somewhat hilarious

https://www.rollitup.org/toke-n-talk/451528-amazing-medicinal-bud-porn-harvest.html

he is just so proud and KEEPS POSTING.

i mean, we get the point already.
Heaven forbid should someone be proud of what they've accomplished. Why can they not be humble like you and I and all of us here, no? The audacity that someone should be proud of their accomplishments is unheard of!

If somebody is proud of what they've created and/or done...I say "speak it"...They deserve it. Their detractors are simply jealous of their accomplishments and cannot achieve those levels because they do not have either the skills, desire, and/or determination.

Not true. I did 3 cycles back in the 80's of Sustanon250, Primobolan, and Winstrol. You cannot simply inject steroids and grow muscles, you have to work your ass off and eat a strict diet to maximize the effects of the anabolic properties of steroids. Read up on Bill Phillips "Anabolic Reference Guide" and you'll see why.

My circle in high school was the same way, circa 1978, if you couldn't bench 300 by the age of 16 you were a failure.

Don't need to read up, I gave up running and weightlifting about 10 years ago due to 2 facts.
Work injuries, torn labrum and bicep muscle and a meniscus that is no longer with me. Bone on bone in the knee. I am your age, do not pull a tea bagger factoid about lifting and "supplements". I know them.
