TMB's Indoor 4'x4' Veg Tent & 7'X11' Flowering Area

Either way, the lights will be adjusted March 1st, even if the weather outside is nasty, they need to be put into flowering mode. I will put them outside when the weather allows me to. They will be just fine inside until outside conditions are to the plants liking.
Exactly..... :D......

The girls got watered today with straight water, just a hold me over watering. I will start adjusting the lights from 18 hrs of light to 16, then 14, then 12 by the end of the week. Tomorrow will be day 1 of flowering.

Today (well yesterday, it;s after midnight now) was day one of flowering. I set the tent up to keep the mothers in with my 4ft, 4 bulb, T-5's. I have, SR71-Purple Kush, Jack Herer, Chemo Cindy, Mind Bender, The Purps, and a small Sour Diesel in there. I need to get another 4ft, 4 bulb, for the tent soon.
The flower area will be expanded again....1-1000 watt HPS on a light mover, 1-430watt HPS, 1-400watt HPS. 1-400watt MH, and 2-100watt MH. That's 2430watts of lights. The 430watt HPS will be installed tomorrow.
Clones will be taken tomorrow, going to try the rock-wool method again. I got a lesson from a friend that has great success at it. The cubes are soaking as I speak (type).

Busy day today, clones from Jack Herer, SR-71 Purple Kush, and Chemo Cindy were taken tonight. Chemo Cindy is in full flower. She was one of TLD's girls, and he vegges his girls 24/0, while I veg mine 18-6. I think the 18-6 schedule threw her into flower. So she will come out of the veg tent and join the flowering team. I can make this choice because TLD has an army of Chemo Cindy's, and if I can't get a clone from the 6 cuttings I took today to "take", i'm sure I can get another from him. The Shiva Skunk, and Strawberry Cough X Deep Chunk will be cloned tomorrow morning.
The veg tent got some new lights today. 4-4ft florescent bulbs. Each bulb is 6500K (grow spectrum), and put out 3050 lumen each. So if each bulb puts out 3050 lumen, and there are 8 bulbs (i think the T-5's put out more lumen) that's 28,000 lumen in a 4'x4' tent. I belive that the 400watt mh puts out 30,000-35,000 lumen.
I need to start my flowering tea tomorrow morning, so it will have a full 24 hrs to brew. I will use a shovel of compost, molasses, Maxicrop seaweed, Alaskan Bloom fish ferts (o-10-0), earthworm castings, and bat guano (0-5-0). The Maxicrop Seaweed has enough nitrogen to hold them over for a week or two.

O.K. just did a little research. The 400watt MH puts out 36,000 lumen, and the t_5's put out 5,000 lumen each. So 4 x 5,000=20,000 lumen, and 4 x 3050= 14,000 lumen. so 34,000 vs. 36,000 I say i'm in the ball park with lumen output, and a lot less heat. (i hope).

everything makes sense but the 3050......

And Chemo Cindy AND PK are both two of the easiest strains to clone, so Im sure you won't have any problems with that. The Chemo Cindy sure does love to flower doesn't she? Might think she has dominant tendencies that came from a place that tends to that need (around the equator).......

On the packaging the label said....6500K, 3050 lumen ea., they are T-12's and not the T-5's.

Ok, went out this morning, adjusted the lights down another hour (on at 7:00am, off at 10:00pm). I will take away 1 hour of light every day (started March 1st) until I get to 12-12. Three more hours/days to go.
I took cuttings from; Strawberry Cough X Deep Chunk, Shiva Skunk, and Mind Bender X Afghangooey this morning. 6ea, lets hope for success.
Tea's-a-brewing...I used "hillbilly" measuring technique as far as measurements. 1-2 handed grab of compost, 1-2handed grab of earthworn castings, about 10-12 oz Alaska fish Bloom oil, about a cup of Molasses, about 10-12 oz Maxicrop Seaweed/Kelp juice, and about a cup cup and a half of Fox Farms Bat Guano. I put everything in a 5 gallon bucket with warm water, and 2 air stones percolating the tea. Has a large frothy head on it.
I will get photos of everything tonight.

Took some photos tonight. Look at the compost tea. That bad boy is frothing like a rabbid dog. The girls are going to luv it.
I made a diagram of the lighting lay-out of the flowering area. You can see how i'm trying to over-lap the spectrums, blue over red, and red over blue. Tell me what you think.

The girls were watered with straight water today, and are stretching . i have some of the lights up as high as they will go now. The weather man said 70's in the 7 day forecast, lets hope so. I would luv to put these girls in the "weed cage" by the middle of the month. I'm thinking March 21-23 is the Tropic of Capricorn, the beginning of Spring, that may be the day for them to go out. We'll see.

ya the foam is a sign that it's alive and breeding and doing its thing, but some times, it can get pretty out of hand. still looking forward to seeing your weedcage in full force.

Hello CAashtree-
It will be a beautiful thing when the cage is filled up with the girls. I will have to bend down some of the girls tomorrow due to their stretching upwards into the lights. The Blackberry Kush X NCGB is the main culprit, that strain well be a great outdoor grower.
