Is the driver detachable? It will be interesting to see later down the line if heat will be an issue or not. Looking good Budz.

The driver is not removable. But a good heat dissipation effect can be achieved by the upgraded heat sink.

I decided to make a change surrounding what i am gonna grow under the XS1500 PRO. Instead of starting with new germ cups ( which are growing well ) I decided to place a vegging plant under it instead.
Plant is KKP ( King Kong Poison - Durban Poison x GG4 ) - plant was topped once so far. I also did some selective pruning on her and will let her get some growth in before topping again or LST.
Figured i would just run this rig with an established plant to see its response to it.
Here are the products that will be used for grow.
Medium is a layered mix. Terp Tea GROW and Kellogs fish fertilizer ( kelp ) - added to watering once a week.
Layered mix has been amended with dynomyco / EWC / pumice / bio-live .

Update :
The XS1500 PRO is on full and plants are growing and filling out. I am going to have to tighten up the LST training on her .
No crazy temp issues with light … 78° - 80° on full power. Should have got 2 of them to really dial up. But so far so good with light.
Lens seem to be aiding In the short node growth ( as you can see with the side plants. ). 18/6 cycle.
Pleased with light so far and its quality.

Plants have been growing well under the XS1500 pro led light. I decided to do the re-adjustments to their LST training and take a couple clones .
Light is running smoothly and i think that the optical lenses are definitely concentrating the light thru the plants. Operating temps from light are nominal and a non issue. So far i am pleased with the light , It’s potential and excellent price point.
You would be hard pressed to find a light just as well built and ready to get the new garden hobbyist ready to grow their own medicine or garden plants.
Lilac Auto - has some duckfoot looking leaves.

Clones were taken from KKP ( king Kong Poison ) ( Durban Poison x GG4 ) that i pruned and LST.

Weekly Update - Tuesday
Well the XS1500 Pro has started to please the girls daily and it was time to upgrade the Micro Coco Hempy Cup ( Motor Breath ).
Every plant is doing well under this new light , zero complaints.
So here we go …
First I disinfected a 2 gallon bucket I used with a peat soil run . Washed it out with hot water / soap and wiped inside with hydrogen peroxide.
I bought a large bag of #3 large coarse perlite ( similar in size to the pumice I usually buy ) . I added a 1/2” layer at bottom. I prefer the chunkier size of perlite anyways and will use that on a possible “ Hem-PEE “ Bucket. I Then top filled with Mother Earth COCO / Perlite . I didn’t want the coco peat version .
After prepping the container I added some Dynomyco.
Today was also calibration day for my meter - as I do whenever I change Grow styles - it just makes sense when watching what goes in.
She was holding pretty close since last check about a month ago , so was happy about that.
I guess I could have let her go maybe another week in cup but decided just to do it while I had time.
As you can see, she has been doing ok on that Clonex Gold feed while in her little cup.
As far as the feed for her - GH MAXIGROW
I mixed up a gallon of water / feed with 1/2 teaspoon Calmag and Maxigrow. PPM level was just under 600.
This will be a very simple feed for this girl …. Maxigrow and Maxibloom.
I like the airy consistency of the Mother Earth CoCo / Perlite compared to the Procoir I have.
Again , thanks to @ViparSpectra for this chance to test this great light.

Tuesday Update - Part 2
Here you can see my happy little trees ….. Cafe Racer and Lilac Auto.
They will be going into their forever homes probably this weekend. I wish I could grow all under this light but since it is a 2x2 test , I will have to move
a couple to some other rigs.
These are in a layered peat mix and will be transplanted to at least 3 gallon minimum each , so doesn’t leave much viable room under the XS1500 PRO.
So , as far as Veg testing , this light is doing very well - good plant response and tight nodes !
What’s not to like ?
Perhaps I will test a larger light in the future @ViparSpectra
That way I can flower the crap out of them …. Lol.
Anyways - any new growers following along - I am whole hardly recommending this light as a good starting rig for an indoor.
The daisy chain capability alone - say 4 of these chained together would be extremely nice for a larger 3x3 or so.
Now that would be an epic test .
Anyways … enjoy.
