and unless you were there, you would know that you can't make good hashish with strains that contain no trichs. please explain to me why the good hashish that has been made for practically 1000's of years in certain regions in the world were these genetics are coming from...just because they dont have fancy technology and you cant see the trichromes doesnt mean it ain't great herb. i don't need to educate anyone that has that closed of a mind. my point here has been made and established. and we are way off topic. had i really wanted to debate this, i would have started another thread. no sense in kicking a dead horse.

You know what you know...? Your missing the point. Good hasish has been made for thousands of years, you can make good hasish with almost any decent yeiliding strain. But you're not understanding is that the GENETICS have changed over the past 30 years. From years and years of cross breading...like I said INDOORS, we have been able to create an IDEAL environemnt for marijuana to produce at its highest level.

I don't see how you don't understand the whole evolution thing. We've been growing marijuana and picking the strongest phenos over the years...so after 30 years of doing that...obviously we are going to have superior strains than 30 years back. I am not being to the close minded one here my friend....it seems as if you can't even consider what I have to say...which is sad.
 
I dont see greater bud coming from indoor v.s. outdoor. If anything i would think you would get better stuff from outdoors i mean you have the sun for light and the plant is out where it was created and grown for thousands of years thats where plants grow naturally then you add good soil nutes and proper grow techniques and say in your area the humidity stays at a decent level and the temp stay in proper ranges i dont see anything indoor being better with yield or taste. idk maybe i am wrong but if i could grow outdoors and had i lived in a better area for doing so i would much rather be doing that. I just see indoors as being easier to control just a higher success rate not better bud.

Not everyone is in a PERFECT climate to grow marijuana...even if someone was...weather is out of our control. For you to say that indoor doesn't create better bud...just baffles me. When you are indoors, you can control, temperature, humidity, co2, air flow etc....when you have all of these dialed in perfectly, the marijuana grown will be of higher quality.

Now don't get me wrong, you can get some REALLY dank stuff outdoors, in fact the sun is like a 2000w light over 1sq foot. But indoors because you can control everything, you finish with a more resinous product.

YOU CAN NOT BEAT MOTHER NATURE!!! i dont care who you are, how much knowledge and years of growing you have. that is a personal argument. and purely a choice one makes when growing. and as you spke of breeding new genetics. you do know outdoor growers breed for climate, right?? it bafles my mind that you can not seem to understand that EVERY grower breeds and if you picked up a few books, like Big Book of Buds, any of the 4 volumes, you would know that a lot of strains ARE in fact breed for outdoor growing conditions. hence a lot of the strains that finish early due to early rain, or early frost. man is behind that though, and not nature. and i do agree that "trichromes are more visible nowadays" but who cares about looks, really? why do you even smoke weed? do you have some kind of aliment or condition in which ganja helps you? or is for pure recreational use? i started smoking because i had ADD/ADHD conditions and i never got any sleep as a child. i was and still am a major insomniac. i also got into an accident in grade school which led to years, practically decades of opiate and pharmaceutical use and abuse. i have been pill, alcohol and opiate free for over 31 months and counting!! i will never touch another chemical substance ever again. i put lots of attention and detail to this plant everyday. so when i say "i know what i know" im just an old hard headed fuck who doesn't think someone younger then them can really tell them shit. so please do not take any offence when i say that. i just can not be helped. i appreciate the effort though, lol!!

and nowadays it has nothing to do with your living area. id be willing to bet you can find a strain that will finish early enough. fuck! nowadays you can grow some amazing Autoflowering strains outside. and possibly get 2 crops in in 1 season. yup! research that if you do not believe me.

No thank you! Finally, that's what I was asking for...I needed to see where your head was coming from. I agree and disagree with a lot of things you said. But we'll save that for another day. Just for starters, resin glands being more visible and intact means a more psychoactive/medicinal high, because the majority of cannabinoids are located in the head of the resin gland. What happens when weed is dried to quickly or poorly taken care of is these burst and fall off, decreasing the quality. That is where technology has somewhat helped our understand of the herb.

What I bolded is why I smoke. First time I tried it, I didn't know why I liked it, but it was because it helped me sleep, eat, and my ADD. I only realized that after a year of using it. Hey man, I'm really sorry to hear you got into to opiates...I was taking Suboxone over the summer because my friend got his hands on a pack of 100. Though it's not as addicting....definitely showed me how easy it was to get sucked into that life style as before I knew it I was feinding it every other day....

Yeah....you can actually get 3-4 crops in one season if you bring them indoors for 12 hours. But your climate still plays a huge role in what plants your able to grow.
 
Sooo, best consistency for BHO?
I'm new to this process of making BHO and have had different results Everytime I have made it, and for me, when I ground up the buds with a grinder I seemed to get a larger yield. I don't seem to get nearly all the trichs off though because I can still see it when I'm done, also noticed the tane doesn't evenly get through the tube, so some spots seemed untouched by the tane.

And the good ol central valley outdoor, in my opinion, is better than most indoor I come across.
 
finally back to the original topic...

well this is why i do 2 runs. and i do have another thread posted up about this topic. but i will break down the jist for you. i have been making oil for a long long time. and i think i have it down. here is what i do basically. i do 2 runs. first run the herb is quite chunky, almost popcorn nugget like, but miniature. i slightly pack the glass extractor and i use an Organza cloth. FUCK A COFFEE FILTER!! i purge 2 cans, 3 or 4 if i have them. then this is my first batch. then i take everything out, add a tiny bit more of fresh new herb and grind that and the already run herb in a coffee grinder. then i lightly load the extractor. then i purge 2-3 cans through. this second run is a little darker, and a tad bit less, but just as stony!! i blasted about 43g and got back about 7-9g of oil. a awesome return! thanks for getting back on the topic!!

I Stopped Reading about 2 pages in, but the debate about more potent strains now than in the 70's is poop. The weed today isn't more potent, It's just that the potent weed is more AVAILABLE.
 
uhm... if you are 60 years old, then by all means you have room to talk and i woudl love to hear your opinion. but if your under 35, i don't hear you. i believe outdoor grown weed is better, and a lot will disagree with me. it is purely a personal choice. nobody was recording strains thc% or CBD or CBN % 15 years ago. so you really have no proof. so honestly if you want to start a debate, start another thread. this thread is for concentrates. if you think you opinion is better then mine, then go start another thread and back your shit up. most people that come in with 1 or 2 sentences, in my experiences, usually have no experience. i dont mean to be snotty, just what i have encountered on these boards. now, back to concentrates...or please don't post.
