and we have argued about this and she nows i dont agree with it and would say no. give them something else its really just the word and how hetrosexual customs are, i want somethings to just be the way it is.
Because Gays want to feel accepted

If heteros decided to stop getting married and decided to replace it with something called "getting shit on" then gays would argue that they wanted the right to get shit on too.

Statewise = Should be accepted
Churchwise = It should not be... for obvious reasons...

Now, what religion are basically all politicians/judicial personnel... Christian. This is why it isn't happening - religion is infringing upon the state.

the same chances of a failed marriage is the same for both gay and hetrosexual couples, and the same for bad child raising. but the child will under go more scrutiny in the gay couples situation. it sucks but you know its true.

Whether they hate each other or not, the children are still going to be in the middle, but I think the split is what really hurts kids.

What do you think the failure rate for gay couples staying together is, as apposed to hetero couples?
Well...I don't think we're really sure...

seeing as they can't be married in the first place.

to keep a child submersed in a loveless household imho is far more detrimental. i don't know if you've ever been in a shitty relationship but i assure you they only get worse and worse. i shudder to think of the consequences of being forced to stay in one....two words that blink in my head: "murder rate"

i think they would pan out about the same...ridiculously high.

I dont care on this situation at all. But what you are saying is just flat out wrong..

I grew up with a couple friends who had gay parents..
One went to MIT, the other has his own construction business and to my knowlege, is making lots of money.
In fact im alittle envious

Yeah, its true they will undergo the scrutiny.
And the divorce rates probably would be the same...

You bet, that is hell of a logic. If people are made this way, that we have a MAN and a WOMEN, and they can produce siblings, and the same ppl sex cant, then the two same sex of ppl are wrong, and that is pure A class logic:hump:
Sorry. What I meant to say was your logic is terribly flawed.
Why does it have to be about reproduction? What does love have to do with reproduction? :peace:

jhonny you made no real addition we already stated that the rate for success is roughly the same. its just sticking a adopted child in a situation were he or she will have additional parels in there life just because they want what nature wont give them and thats proably for a good reason. mother nature has lots of safe guards and i think there for a reason.

do u really wanna see 2 dudes holding hands???? in the same neighborhood were ur tryna raise ur kids in a hetorosexual manure? how do you explaine that to a 7 year old? would you even want to?
I wouldn't try to raise my children to be heterosexual, homosexual or asexual. That is entirely up to them. :peace:

The UK permits gay marriage. Seems all is going well
over there with that for them right?

Why isn't the US smart enough to do it.
We obviously haven't figured out the basics of it which is this:

Its not hurting anyone, or infringing upon the rights of the
average citizen.

They're not taking anything away from anyone. :-|

Why is marriage called "holy matrimony" if it's a legal issue?

It's a vow 2 people take, so God is definitely involved, otherwise it's just a contract.
It's only considered "holy matrimony" in Judeo-Christian ceremonies. When I was married, in an athiest ceremony, the phrase wasn't uttered.
So, no, God was most definitely not involved.

Children are better off when there are 2 parents, a mommy and a daddy. Why throw a child into a dysfunctional family?

I think they should make divorce illegal for all families with children in the home, because that hurts kids too.
What if mommy and or daddy are molesting or physically abusing their child(ren)? Would that still be a better scenario than a happy, functional gay-coupled family?
