Are you using a 20gal pot?? or 20 Inch pot?? I like to always use 1gal per foot of growth Inside, but outside i like to go bigger 10-30 gal pots.My plant is in a 20 l bucket and is roots have.taken over the.soil i have.found pots online but the most depth i can get is extra 5 cm and thats 35liter plenty of witdh but i need depth as the roots are running round base of pot would it be worth the hassle
About 2 and half weeks theyre 15 days into 12/12 cycle and 5 days of actual flowershow long have they been in the 20l pots?
Is it ok so early tho there not bound yet but they are heading that way still takes 3 to 4 days.before.they need waterAll my girls in flower are root bound pretty much, happens everytime. Working with 5 and 7 gallon pots. No biggie, just means more watering, and its getting good flushes between feedings
Yes, if you want to transplant do it soon, less shock for it.Is it ok so early tho there not bound yet but they are heading that way still takes 3 to 4 days.before.they need water
2nd pic is the bottomright heres a picture of the roots this is from when i checked them a few days ago View attachment 3193286 View attachment 3193287
Ive added a picture of the rootsNot worth it, it's around the time the roots just increased rapidly and it slows down. Besides that it's not a problem that the "roots are running round the base".
What you perhaps could do as an alternative is give them a top dressing.
I might.just cut the bottom of pot and place.in a bigger pot if become bound reduces yield loads its got to be worth that extra roomLooks fine. It's just not something you can entirely prevent when growing in pots. The amount of root growth reduces drastically after the transition (I can easily see that in my mediumless system). Looks to me like you made good use of those pots. I'd be kind of disappointed if I didn't have that amount of roots in pots at that stage of the cycle.
No, not necessarily. As long as their sufficient amount of roots to support the plant. And again, it won't continue to create new roots as fast as it has up till now.if become bound reduces yield loads
Yes but the problem with a transplant is i cannot find pots with enough depthNo, not necessarily. As long as their sufficient amount of roots to support the plant. And again, it won't continue to create new roots as fast as it has up till now.
But yes, that is an option nevertheless, you could cut off the bottom and place it in a larger one. But if you're going to do that you might as well go all the way and transplant.
so what your saying also if theres enough root mass and enough food and water given the.plant will continue to grow am i correct lol its abit confuaing as some people.telling me its the end of the.world.when its bound then.others say it be fine hahaYes but the problem with a transplant is i cannot find pots with enough depth
Almost, but you get exactly the point. It will continue to 'grow' as in flower big fat buds. That's the thing, once transitioned it will stop growing (vegetating) and start flowering. It creates roots like it creates branches and stops doing so around the same time. It will continue to grow roots but just a little, nothing compared to what is has done so far. During veg the plant grows roots and stems and leaves, during flower it uses those to create flowers/buds. So like I said in my first reply, it's not worth it at this stage.so what your saying also if theres enough root mass and enough food and water given the.plant will continue to grow am i correct lol
