Yet More Evidence the Feds are Creating a Fascist State

of course not..but they always have something that LEO can find to stop you..broken turn signal..brake light out.

that's all they need.

just the messenger here..want to make sure who ever is reading to know it's not as stealth as suggested in another post.
Sorry Sky, cops don't have probable cause to search your vehicle just because you have a tail light out or were speeding.

Ever been in a DUI Checkpoint? I don't even roll down my window to talk to them. They keep asking me to, but I just shake my head no. Then i hold my DL and my Registration to the window.

I get through the line without ever talking to anyone.

They have no probable cause.

Learn your rights.

they toss those terms around over on stormfront and AmRen like they were going out of style. they're just dead giveaways is all.
Sadly, the Republican party is starting to show more and more similarities to the above organizations... I mean, look at the guest speaker Boner has lined up to speak to Congress next month...

Oh come on! Between the 'Patriot' Act and RICO, the Supreme Court has rendered our constitutional protections worthless- don't trot out the civics lesson tropes if the fascist state is playing by different rules!
SCOTUS says, what is rendered Constitutional, not you. That is the entire point of our system.

And the thing is a vast majority of Peeps are for RICO and the PA, etc.

So, our system is full of veils and clouds if you only follow politics, without referring to CIvics. But, SCOTUS follows the Constitution as they see it for their time, based on the LAW before us.

And a vast middle majority simply enjoy our lives. :) Our system is perfectly happy with your conclusions. "It ain't no big thing. It is all just a plot by the man to keep the brothers down."

We know that.

Holy shit I bet that's true, it makes perfect sense. If the GOP could possibly put up a more dis-likable person than Romney it would be trotting out another Bush. Jeb would have most likely been better than W but too late now.

The GOP needs new blood to be relevant in the POTUS race and the Dems are risking the same fate if they trot out Clinton or Biden. If the GOP goes Bush/Romney (what a scary ticket), it doesn't matter who the dems run, that's who the next pres is.
What does the GOP do when they cannot win? Run a Bush. It just might work the 3rd time. :)

All these labels. Fascist, Racist, Evidence. SCOTUS says. You don't like that? No one likes that. It is the very point.

IAC>...road stops.

Homeland security has setup up 3 internal checkpoints on the Olympic Peninsula. These checkpoints are in addition to checkpoints at Washington Ferry docks and highway border crossings. According to the U.S. Border Patrol, it has a jurisdiction of about 100 miles from the border. This puts most of Washington state in an area where border checkpoints are authorized, including Seattle.

(The point can be debated, but the courts have ruled that vehicle checkpoints at which all vehicles are stopped, and are subjected to no more than cursory search in the absence of probable cause, do not violate the Fourth Amendment protection against warrantless search.)

It is very simple. We are in wartime. It is not as bad a WW2 actual, but we see what happens when we get threatened. WE tighten up. There is no THEY.

With the Korean War, we began to loosen up. We had no domestic enemies.

But, then the Cold War. And that is what brought God to the Pledge of Allegiance. Fear of Flash Death. Now we have less fear and we don't want to talk about God so much. Yet, we have a very real threat from the Borders. And suspcionless search applied to all is just fine.

It all is really rather simple if you do your own study.

BTW, I've had my house searched in the middle of the night by large armed men with Badges.

Hot pursuit. The dude hopped my fence and they didn't see him come out. I am very glad to oblige. Self Rule!

Oh Canada, Oh Canada...the true north strong and free.
Meynard has brought a lot of the attention he receives on himself. He also has a propensity for elevating the level of drama unnecessarily.
Meanwhile, in Chile, they've figured out a way to increase participation in the organ donation program:

I saw one about the check points in AZ, and same thing. The guy was a Preacher and he wanted to practice Civil Disobedience. So, instead of telling them he was just heading over to Wide Cliff or something, he proceeded to be a Road Lawyer. All they wanted to do was get a physiological voice print and face reaction print in their mind. No big deal. Same as working with rattlesnakes. He could have been more careful.

So, no one got upset but him. At first the Boarder guys were bemused, glancing at each other.
They diverted him calmly to the inspection area, to let others pass. And they talked to him, professionally through the closed windows.

But, in the end, they grimly beat out his back window and hauled him out before two barking canines straining on their leashes.

So, note to self. Do rattlesnakes bite, if you ignore the rattle? You bet.

I caught a rattle snake one time by accident.Thought that the small snake in the grass was a bull snake, until I picked it up only to hear it rattle.
The eye does deceive.

That's why they have rattles. :) And I hear those young ones can lay in quite a dose.

And the dose is quite psychoactive, by all accounts, until it's not, one way or another.

'We are at war.' What a crock of shit... a few criminals hijacked some airplanes and now you're all for martial law.

Clearly you trust the government more than I do. I have lots and lots of examples on my side...

The government is the one We the People need protecting FROM. To suggest we don't have that right or don't need it is to grease the skids of fascism.

And invoking the names of wars in which real patriots fought and died in 'support' of your contentions makes me ill. Time for you to watch Mr. Eisenhower's farewell speech to gain at least some inkling of the difference between governance and tyranny.

That reminds me of boy scouts. We were doing compass orienteering. We all started on slightly different bearings and counting steps, etc, to make a single turn in 300 paces to put us all on the rally point from different angles. What could possible go wrong?

Rattlesnake nest in the thicket. Not me, but the guy to my left about 20 feet. We all had to freeze.
And the scout master came over and decided he could move out to the right, at a certain angle and be safe.

But, as he starts doing it, one of the other SM say, "Get a bearing! You have to pick up the course on the other side!"

Well, me being me, I just burst out laughing. The poor kid was white as a sheet. I got a bunch of dirty looks, of course.

So, you reject the entire idea of an extremist, faith based cult, that is bent on attacking the USA, and other secular govts?

No one said martial law, do you have to exagerate?

Trust or don't Trust, Mr. Yoda. It matters not. I don't trust the govt I trust the system, to kick ass and right wrongs if WE get interested more than not.

Are you suggesting that our current state of affairs is anything less than an undeclared state of martial law? One in which our rights under the constitution are suspended due to a grave and imminent threat?

The only cowards worse than the bombers are the politicians who grabbed our civil liberties and snatched them away- because they don't trust us.
